A Whole New World

A Whole New World

This is the signature duet from Disney’s Aladdin, sung in a romantic scene where the characters soar through the sky on a magic carpet.

With Alan Menken’s beautiful melody and Tim Rice’s poetic lyrics, the song captures the thrill and hope of opening the door to a whole new world.

It’s perfect as background music for a special Christmas night spent with someone dear.

Ideal for scenes where you share dreams for the future under a sparkling starry sky, it enhances the romantic atmosphere of the holiday season.

A Whole New World (from “Aladdin”)Alan Menken

This moving ballad, loved by many, is a work by composer Alan Menken, renowned for numerous Disney film scores.

It’s a romantic piece that evokes the image of traveling through the night sky on a magic carpet.

Celebrating the freedom and hope of stepping into an unknown world, the song may free your mind from the task at hand and lead you into a realm of fresh ideas.

A signature song from the 1992 film Aladdin, it can be heard on the soundtrack album Aladdin: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.

Its universal appeal is underscored by winning Best Original Song at the 65th Academy Awards in March 1993.

The grand, beautiful piano tones will sweep away everyday distractions and support you as you focus deeply during creative time.

THE CAVE OF WONDERSAlan Menken

This is the music used in the scene where Aladdin first discovers the magic lamp.

At the end of a barren desert lies the Cave of Wonders, filled with mysterious things: a magic carpet, glittering jewels, and heaps of gold.

The scene where Aladdin makes a narrow escape is truly suspenseful.

This is the Shiki Theatre Company version of ‘Prince Ali.’ It has a slightly different feel from Disney’s, and it’s really fun, isn’t it? The ensemble’s singing is truly wonderful! I can’t decide between the Kōichi Yamadera version and the Shiki Theatre Company version.

Ideal Partner — Friend Like MeGekidan Shiki

In Disney terms, this is the part where Genie appears for the first time and sings “Friend Like Me.” The Shiki Theatre Company’s version is wonderful too, of course, but it seems many people still prefer Koichi Yamadera.

It really makes you appreciate the appeal of Yamadera’s voice all over again.

Let’s go anywhereGekidan Shiki

This is another duet by Aladdin and Jasmine that was added by the Shiki Theatre Company.

The moment their voices blend at the end of the chorus, I get goosebumps at how incredible Shiki is.

The original lyrics are also really lovely.

It’s a song that makes me think, “As expected of Shiki Theatre Company!”

JASMINE RUNS AWAYAlan Menken

Aladdin OST – 15 – Jasmine Runs Away
JASMINE RUNS AWAYAlan Menken

In Japanese, it’s “Runaway Jasmine.” As the name suggests, it’s the scene where Jasmine secretly slips out of the dull palace to see the outside world.

Jasmine dislikes arranged meetings and is a brave princess who seeks true love, right?
