[Anison × Rock] Compilation of Anime Songs Sung by Rock Bands (41–50)
hologramNICO Touches the Walls

This track opens with solid guitar and vocals that make you think “that’s cool!” the instant you hear them.
It’s the opening theme for season 2 of the hugely popular anime Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
Written specifically for the series, its lyrics and sound were crafted to fit the world of the show, resulting in a moving rock number that fans will find irresistible.
DaysFLOW

A five-member rock band with numerous anime tie-in songs and massive popularity not only in Japan but also overseas, FLOW released this track as their 11th single.
Chosen as the opening theme for the TV anime Eureka Seven, it became the band’s first single to break into the top three on the Oricon charts.
The opening, which begins with refreshing strings and brisk guitar cutting, heightens the anticipation for the anime.
With its contrast between a floating, airy melody and cool rap, it’s a refreshing rock tune that matches the anime’s worldview and is a standout track to listen to.
InfernoMrs. GREEN APPLE

This is Mrs.
GREEN APPLE’s “Inferno,” which was used as the opening theme for the anime Fire Force that aired in 2019.
The vocalist, Motoki Omori, is a fan of the original work, and the song was written specifically for it.
Its lyrics tie into the anime, while strongly reflecting Mrs.
GREEN APPLE’s own worldview.
primary colorsPELICAN FANCLUB

“Trichromatic” was chosen as the opening theme for the anime Dr.
STONE, which depicts a world where humanity has been petrified and survival hinges on science.
The song is by PELICAN FANCLUB, a rock band from Chiba Prefecture.
It’s catchy, yet features a uniquely theirs sound design, song structure, and melodic phrases that leave a strong impression.
You can clearly feel the influence of the 2000s rock scene.
The vocals by Anri Endo are refreshingly crisp.
They’re a fantastic band I can recommend to anyone, regardless of gender.
Prayer XKing Gnu

King Gnu’s “Prayer X” was used as the ending theme for the anime BANANA FISH.
While many people associate the band first and foremost with their breakthrough mega-hit “Hakujitsu,” Iguchi’s soaring high-tone vocals also shine on this track.
Of course, his voice is a huge part of their appeal, but there’s so much more to them: each member’s exceptional musicianship, the sophisticated arrangements built on that technical skill, and, on top of that, the way they distill such complexity into something irresistibly catchy that anyone can find pleasing.
Definitely give it a listen!
I'll call your name.Luck Life

This is a song used as the ending theme for the anime Bungo Stray Dogs, affectionately known as BunSuto.
It’s by the four-piece rock band Luck Life, and it’s a ballad that really lets you feel the rock sound.
The harmonies after the chorus kicks in are especially satisfying.
Luck Life also handled the ending themes for seasons 2 and 3 of Bungo Stray Dogs.
If you’re interested in them, you should definitely give those songs a listen as well.
Adolescent Complexcable tie

The chorus that pushes in so hard is insanely cool! This is the opening theme of the anime “Bocchi the Rock!”, which depicts the youth of high school girls devoted to their band.
It’s released under the name of the protagonists’ band in the show, Kessoku Band.
The energetic sound that makes you want to call it “true band music” is the big draw, and the cool vocals shine brilliantly.
By all means, feel the world of the lyrics and sing it with passion!
