[Anison × Rock] A Compilation of Anime Songs Sung by Rock Bands (51–60)
Song Not to Forgetmakaroni enpitsu

This is a heartwarming song that sings of the bittersweetness and hope of youth.
Released in April 2024, it paints the image of young people running toward their dreams with a powerful, refreshing melody.
Macaroni Enpitsu created this piece as the ending theme for the anime “Oblivion Battery,” based on Eko Mikawa’s original work.
While accompanying the coming-of-age story of the anime’s protagonists, it also carries a message that anyone can relate to.
The lyrics carefully depict the strength to overcome setbacks and hardship, as well as the courage to keep looking forward, making it a perfect track for cultural festivals and class memories.
With its bright, uplifting melody and emotionally resonant lyrics, it’s sure to be a hit at karaoke and at school.
Fictionsumika

The opening theme “Fiction” from the anime Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku, which was even adapted into a live-action film in 2020.
The song is by the four-piece rock band sumika.
Besides this track, sumika is known for tying up with various anime and dramas.
It’s said that most of their songs are written by guitarist and vocalist Kenta Kataoka.
Sumika’s songs, which are also popular as wedding tunes, are generally bright and uplifting! This one makes you feel like breaking into a dance, too (lol)!
*~asterisk~ORANGE RANGE

A song by the Okinawa-born mixture band ORANGE RANGE, which was used as an opening theme for the anime BLEACH.
It gives you an exciting sense of anticipation, like something is about to begin.
The rap lyrics—distinctive of ORANGE RANGE—are really cool.
breakthroughSUPER BEAVER

A four-piece rock band consisting of vocalist Ryota Shibuya, guitarist Ryota Yanagisawa, bassist Kenta Uesugi, and drummer Hiroaki Fujiwara.
The band was formed when Fujiwara joined Shibuya, Uesugi, and Yanagisawa, who were senior and junior classmates in high school.
Their song “Toppa-guchi” (Breakthrough) was selected as the opening theme for the second cour of the anime Haikyu!! TO THE TOP.
They have also collaborated with other anime such as Naruto and Barakamon.
Their powerful, fast-paced sound and lyricism with a strong message fit perfectly with the world of shonen manga.

Flame (FIRE)joōbachi

Weren’t you surprised by Dororo’s opening theme? According to Avu-chan from Queen Bee, they thought, “When I saw Dororo, I thought it was cute.” Queen Bee often makes distinctive, quirky songs, and having the sensibility to call an anime filled with eerie yokai “cute” is impressive, isn’t it? Rather than making the anime purely grim, it seems they crafted a song that captivates you right from the opening.
I’m in awe of the sensibility that doesn’t reduce Osamu Tezuka’s Dororo to something merely scary!
If I could become a constellationkessoku bando

This song was released as a track by Kessoku Band, the group the protagonist belongs to in the anime Bocchi the Rock!.
Its distinctive groove, with a fresh, breezy feel that makes you want to sway to the beat, is particularly striking.
This light, buoyant sound seems capable of conveying the joy of music regardless of generation.
The lyrics depict a longing for distant, unattainable things and a resolve to change, which feels closely aligned with the story of the work itself.
In the scene where the song is performed in the show, the guitarist alters the solo on the fly to deal with equipment trouble during the performance, and both this improvised solo section and the lead-up to it are noteworthy points.
Speed and frictionamazarashi

It captures amazarashi’s distinctive worldview.
The melody may seem simple but is intricately crafted and highly addictive.
The lyrics, which draw you in, contain many striking words.
It’s the theme song for the anime Rampo Kitan.
