It was featured over two consecutive weeks on BS Japan’s “Kazuo Tokumitsu’s Meikyoku Nippon.”

Koji Taira is a singer from Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture, and this song was released in 1972 as his seventh single.
It became his first major hit in the third year of his debut and is widely known as his signature song.
In 1982, it was used in a Meiji Chocolate commercial, and a re-recorded version was released.
