Passionate bands, artists, and singers from Ehime Prefecture

When you hear “artists from Ehime Prefecture,” do any names immediately come to mind?

Even with artists you love, it can be surprising to learn, “Oh, they’re from there!”

And finding an artist from your hometown can give you a little thrill, too.

People from Ehime—like Shiho Ochi of Superfly—often strike me as having powerful singing voices.

I’d be delighted if this article helps you discover music you love or introduces you to new artists.

Takeyama 3.5 is a girls’ band from Ehime Prefecture.

At first, they operated with three regular members—who inspired the group’s name—and one rotating “secret” member, but they have since officially become a four-member band.

Including vocalist Hinaho Takeda, who has won the Shikoku folk song championship, the members have experience in gravure modeling.

They might be somewhat similar in style to Silent Siren, who also started out as models.

Compared to SaiSai, though, they come across as a catchier, more classic pop band.
