[For Your Commute] Songs That Get You Pumped – Perfect Tracks to Start the Day

Dear students!

I think many of you pump yourselves up by listening to your favorite music on your smartphone while commuting to school by train or bus.

We all have days when we feel a bit down, right?

I used to be the same.

This time, I’ve selected songs by popular artists and bands—mainly those favored by junior high, high school, and college students—that seem likely to boost your energy when you listen to them.

Since Japanese rock is popular, I’ll introduce a mix of both classic and new tracks!

If you find a song you like, try adding it to your playlist!

[For Your Commute] Uplifting Songs and Perfect Tracks to Start Your Day (51–60)

SmileHanzawa Takeshi

This shows how amazing Hitonari Gekidan’s impressionist (celebrity-impersonation) skills are.
SmileHanzawa Takeshi

A pop track by Takeshi Hanzawa, who has released numerous dance music works under the project name FreeTEMPO.

Warm phrases—quite the opposite of the intense sounds usually played in clubs—tightly grasp the listener’s heart.

Start!Inoue Sonoko

A pop encouragement song sung by singer-songwriter Sonoko Inoue, who is also active as an actress.

Her characteristically lively lyrics and light arrangement give you a boost of energy.

As the title suggests, it’s a song that evokes the beginning of something—a song for a fresh start.

In conclusion

So far, we’ve introduced Japanese songs that students have rated highly as “perfect for listening on the way to school.” It feels like many of them were Japanese rock tracks—old and new—that are great for waking you up.

As expected, these kinds of songs are especially popular among high school and college students.

I hope you found at least one song you like.
