Tear-Jerking Anime Song Ballads Special [Moving & Heart-Wrenching] (41–50)
Unchanging ThingsHanako Oku

The insert song from the 2006 animated film The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is Kawaranai Mono, sung by Oku Hanako, an artist known for her poignant ballads.
This song expresses the wish to see someone you love, and if you’ve seen the movie, it likely brings to mind the two characters who part ways with aching sadness.
It matches the outcome of their romance perfectly.
The song is beautiful on its own as well, and I think it resonates with anyone who’s experienced a breakup or is in a long-distance relationship.
It’s a love ballad I’d recommend to anyone looking for an anime song that will move you to tears.

Secret of my heartMai Kuraki

It’s the ending theme of Detective Conan.
The theme is “a secret you can’t tell anyone.” It seems to be a song about the time when she couldn’t confess to her friends that she was Mai Kuraki, but I also think it’s a love song.
You can feel the protagonist’s emotions—afraid of ruining the current relationship and unable to put it into words.
If I Hadn't Met You ~Summer Snow Winter Flower~Aimer

Singer-songwriter Aimer, known for her stylish musicality and catchy lyrics, has earned high acclaim.
Her song “Natsuyuki Fuyuka (If You Had Not Come Into My Life)” is her fourth single and was used as the ending theme for the anime Natsuyuki Rendezvous.
Although it was released early in her career, it’s a track that clearly reflects her musical identity.
Her fragile, thin, glass-like voice seeps deep into the heart.
flameLiSA

LiSA, an anisong singer known for her rock style.
Her smooth, expansive vocal work and emotionally charged voice have made her especially popular among younger listeners.
Her song Homura is her 17th single, released as the theme song for the film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train.
The lyrics consistently depict a firm resolve to protect someone precious.
If you listen to it while connecting it with the movie’s story, it might just bring you to tears.
Song for friendsRita

This is the song used as the ending theme for the anime “Little Busters! ~Refrain~.” It reminds you of how precious memories with friends are.
Its relaxed tempo and wistful melody line match perfectly, and it’s sure to loosen your tear ducts.
Teru's SongAoi Teshima

This is an insert song from the Studio Ghibli film Tales from Earthsea.
It was released in 2006 as Aoi Teshima’s debut single.
It’s a simple piece with vocals and piano, and as you listen, it leaves you with a feeling of loneliness.
I’m not sure whether it’s Teshima’s voice or the piano’s tone that makes you feel that way.
And yet, when I’m feeling down and listen to this song, it somehow heals me.
I think there are very few songs like this.
Fanfare of the HeartAki Okui

“Fanfare of the Heart” was used as the opening song for the anime Pokémon: Best Wishes, which began in 2010.
It’s sung by singer-songwriter Aki Okui.
Although the single was released jointly with voice actress Rica Matsumoto, for Aki Okui it marked her first single in 7 years and 7 months—truly a long-awaited release for fans.
The song features a refreshing, moving melody that evokes a sense of adventure.
