Kaikai KitanEVE

This is the fourth major digital single by singer-songwriter Eve, who made his major debut in 2019 and has been drawing attention for his outstanding vocal ability and songwriting sense.
The track was chosen as the opening theme for the hugely popular TV anime Jujutsu Kaisen, and its lyrics evoke the world of the anime, making it especially popular among fans of the series.
As an anime theme song, it’s easy to focus solely on the melody, but if you listen with the bassline in mind, you’ll notice an even catchier and more intricate melodic feel.
It’s a song you’ll definitely want to experience with deep, heavy bass from a subwoofer.
BELIEVING IN MYSELFHyde

HYDE from L’Arc-en-Ciel released the track “BELIEVING IN MYSELF” in 2020.
The dynamic shift from the powerful, high-octane rock ensemble in the intro to his beautiful, sultry vocals is incredible.
And the chorus delivers the ultimate payoff by blending those two elements together.
The rhythm guitar’s bridge-muted tone feels like a perfect 10—an ideal form—super rhythmic with a thick, booming low end.
It’s a breathtaking piece of sound creation that makes HYDE’s voice shine even more.
RocketeerINI

A fiery dance track that boldly sings, “There are no limits—let’s charge forward to the ends of the earth!” It’s a song by the male idol group INI, born from an audition program, included on their first album, A, released in 2021.
The way the arrangement gradually builds as it progresses is incredibly cool! The beat-focused sound design is super slick.
If you want to feel that low end thumping in your gut—boom, boom—definitely give it a listen!
sixth senseREOL

Reol is a female singer-songwriter who’s active in a wide range of fields, including composing and artwork.
She originally started out as a singer on Nico Nico Douga and made her debut in 2015.
Like Ado, it seems there are many singers these days who come from the ‘utaite’ scene.
Among her works, the one I recommend for listening with a subwoofer is The Sixth Sense.
While it’s not particularly heavy on low frequencies by today’s standards, its groovy arrangement makes it an excellent match for a subwoofer!
DOGLANDPEOPLE 1

PEOPLE 1 is a three-piece pop band garnering attention mainly online for their literary-tinged songs and original artwork.
Their 13th digital-only single, DOGLAND—used as the ending theme for episode 10 of the TV anime Chainsaw Man—is a track whose sound, in sync with the anime’s dark atmosphere, creates an addictive pull.
The melodic bassline stands out without getting buried, even amid the thrilling ensemble.
It’s an aggressive rock tune in which the bass continues to form the core throughout the song’s rapidly shifting structure.
I’M ON FIRE44MAGNUM

If you want to feel the low-end thump, you’ve gotta keep Japa-metal on your radar! This track is by 44MAGNUM, one of the bands that led the metal boom of the ’80s, and it’s included on their first album, “DANGER,” released in 1983.
It’s a high-energy song that blends a driving pace with pure intensity.
The hard-hitting lyrics also make you go, “Yes, this is it.” It’s a soul-stirring number that I especially want the younger generation to hear.
Bad HabitsEd Sheeran

When it comes to Ed Sheeran, many people probably picture an acoustic sound.
In reality, that’s not necessarily the case—his music generally incorporates trending genres, and he doesn’t stick to a single, consistent style.
His new song, Bad Habits, is a great example.
It features an impressive sound that draws on the currently popular 1980s synth-pop, and while the low end isn’t overly heavy, the overall arrangement is quite groovy.
Be sure to give it a listen.
