[K-pop Charisma] BIGBANG’s Popular and Iconic Songs (41–50)
FOREVER WITH UBIGBANG

This is a track included on their third single of 2006, “BIGBANG 03.” The song features Bom, the main vocalist of 2NE1, who are juniors from BIGBANG’s agency.
It portrays the feelings of a loving couple through vocal back-and-forth with Bom.
A romantic piece.

FXXK ITBIGBANG

It’s a track included in the complete version of the album released as part of the MADE SERIES, the 2016 release MADE.
When you fall in love, your heart races, you can’t speak well, and so many things don’t go your way.
This song expresses those feelings with a “Damn it, whatever” attitude.
The music video is heartwarming, showing BIGBANG as their natural, close-knit selves.
TELL ME GOODBYEBIGBANG

It was the fourth single, released on June 9, 2010, and was used as the theme song for the TBS Korean drama “IRIS.” It is also known for having received the Excellence Work Award at the Japan Record Awards.
Despite its slow tempo, it is a masterpiece intricately interweaving rap, vocals, and chorus in a crosswoven style.
VIPBIGBANG

This track is included on the single “BIGBANG Is V.I.P,” released in 2006 shortly after their debut in Korea.
It’s a dance song that emphasizes their rap skills.
The lyrics convey the determination of the members who, after their trainee days, finally debuted, and you can feel their strong resolve and momentum—like “We’re going to make it big in the K-pop scene!” Their youthful edge is endearingly fresh.
It’s impressive how they went on to maintain their position at the top in the fast-changing world of idols.
HaruHaru~Japanese Ver.~BIGBANG

HARUHARU, which can be considered a signature song of BIGBANG, a pioneering presence in K-POP, was released in their home country and later in a Japanese-language version as well.
The song first drew attention with its original domestic music video.
In the story, the girlfriend of the man played by G-DRAGON, who has been told he has only a short time left to live, hides the truth from him and informs his friends instead.
The direction in the scene where she asks them to keep it from G-DRAGON as much as possible is so moving that it is impossible to watch without tears.
봄여름가을겨울 (Still Life)BIGBANG

With their overwhelming charisma and musicality, BIGBANG has helped lead Japan’s K-pop boom.
In 2022, they made their first comeback in about four years with “Still Life”! The Korean title translates to “Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter,” and the song portrays the passage of time through the imagery of the four seasons.
While it conveys a touch of wistfulness at how the world changes over such a long time and through so many events, it also makes you feel the future beginning to move.
Like the brilliance of each season, it’s a beautiful track filled with the members’ growth and heartfelt emotions.
HARU HARU(하루하루)BIGBANG

When it comes to Big Bang ballads, many people would probably name this song.
Cheers to the talent and sensibility of G-Dragon, a.k.a.
Jiyong, who created this timeless ballad that will never fade (lol).
The song expresses feelings toward someone after a breakup.
People often think, “If we break up, I won’t be able to live on my own,” and they grow sad as they dwell on happy memories.
But before you know it, you get used to being alone, and the memories begin to fade.
You might still wish to meet again, yet time passes in which you come to understand why you broke up, so to speak.
It’s a heartrending, relatable song.
