[Great for kids' birthday parties!] Exciting party games (21–30)

Sweets speed-eating showdown

Super BIG Chocolate Speed-Eating Showdown!
Sweets speed-eating showdown

Let’s play a game using candies that kids love: a candy speed-eating contest! If the treats are too small, it ends too quickly, so slightly larger candies make it more exciting.

Long gummies or big brown sugar sticks would be fun too! For kids, it’s a tasty and enjoyable game, but if they spend too much time savoring the flavor, they’ll lose! Try to enjoy it a bit while still eating fast (haha).

It gets even more exciting if you prepare a penalty for the person who comes in last!

Newspaper Rock-Paper-Scissors

We tried a newspaper rock-paper-scissors showdown and it was super exciting!! ♡Requested project♡ In the newspaper rock-paper-scissors! [#800]
Newspaper Rock-Paper-Scissors

A game you can enjoy with a few people or many: Newspaper Janken (Rock-Paper-Scissors).

All you need is a newspaper and some space to spread it out—super simple! First, pair up and face each other, laying a sheet of newspaper on the floor for each player to stand on.

Play rock-paper-scissors; the winner stays as is, and the loser folds their newspaper in half and stands on it.

Keep repeating: each time you lose, fold your newspaper in half and stand on it.

If you can no longer stand on the newspaper or any part of you sticks out, you lose.

Standing on one foot is allowed as long as you can keep your balance!

Mystery-Solving Treasure Hunt

Tried a mystery-solving treasure hunt game in our secret base! [Dollar Store Easter]
Mystery-Solving Treasure Hunt

If you plan a treasure hunt game, it’s sure to be a hit.

You could simply hide toys or snacks and have the kids search for them, but adding a clever twist will make it even more fun.

For example, they could solve riddles to get hints about the hiding spots, or crack a code on a treasure map.

You might also design the treasure hunt around their favorite anime characters.

In any case, set the difficulty so that the kids can just barely figure it out—that’s what makes it exciting.

Do-Re-Mi Song Game

Recommended for year-end parties! The Do-Re-Mi Song Game
Do-Re-Mi Song Game

“Do-Re-Mi Song” is a tune everyone knows and can sing, from adults to kids.

This is a game that uses that very song! Normally, when you sing it, you go in order from Do up to Ti, right? But in this game, after you finish your turn, you can freely choose the next scale degree—an outrageous challenge! It sounds easy, but suddenly jumping to a different note is hard, and the melody almost always turns into total chaos.

That’s exactly what makes it hilarious and exciting—a game that will have everyone in stitches!

Balloon Popping Game

Heisei 27 Year-End Party: 8. Balloon Popping Game
Balloon Popping Game

It’s just a simple game of blowing up balloons and popping them with your butt, but for some reason it always gets everyone excited.

You blow up your own balloon, place it on a chair, then sit down on it with a good bounce—the person who pops their balloon the fastest wins.

If there are many players, you can do team matches, or have individuals go one by one; it’s an easy game to play either way.

It takes time to blow up the balloons, and there’s a knack to popping them—often they just won’t pop and keep bouncing back.

And popping a balloon makes your heart race a little, doesn’t it? (lol)

Umaibo prize game

We enjoyed Umaibō while blindfolded (^^) — round two!
Umaibo prize game

Guessing the flavor of something you eat is a classic party game.

One recommendation is a Umaibo flavor-guessing quiz.

Umaibo is inexpensive and comes in as many as 15 flavors, making it perfect for party games.

By the way, there’s even an official product called the Umaibo Stick Party.

It’s a gadget that slices Umaibo into thin pieces when you insert it.

It’s ideal when you want to share one stick among several people.

Surface Tension Game

Surface Tension Limit Challenge! Coin Drop Close Call [Party Game for Banquets, Parties, Year-End Gatherings, After-Parties!]
Surface Tension Game

A game that’s trending because various YouTubers are playing it is the surface tension game.

First, prepare a wine glass filled with water to the very brim.

Then, players take turns dropping coins into it, and whoever makes the water overflow loses.

You might think it would spill right away since the glass is filled to the edge, but surprisingly, it doesn’t overflow that easily.

That’s why it works well for larger groups and can be played for a long time.

As a variation, you can swap the wine glass for a bucket or something similar.

Bomb game

[Indoor Play] A Game Enjoyable Across Ages [Bomb Game]
Bomb game

Just thinking about holding a bomb makes your heart race, doesn’t it? In the “Bomb Game,” you pretend a ball is a bomb, everyone forms a circle, and you pass the ball quickly to the next person in time with the music.

When does the bomb explode? When the music stops! The person holding the ball when the music stops is out; three outs and that person loses.

Prepare a penalty, like doing an impression.

Having a penalty makes people not want to be “it,” which actually makes it more exciting (lol).

Ball-toss game

[Craft Play] Hold an indoor sports day even on rainy days! The event is a ball-toss battle.

How about planning a game that lets everyone feel how much they’ve grown—perfect for a birthday? One especially fun idea is a “Guess the Baby Photo” quiz.

In this game, you look at photos from when someone was a baby and guess who it is.

It works great as a quiz and also lets everyone appreciate how much they’ve grown, with comments like, “You were this tiny!” Be sure to prepare baby photos of parents and friends as well.

You could also switch it up by using baby videos instead of photos.

Twister game

Everyday Play: It’s Setsubun! Bean-Throwing Time! Twister with the Red and Blue Oni! Ma-chan [7] and O-chan [5] #667
Twister game

This is a game invented in the United States in which players place their hands and feet, in turn, on colored circles on a mat according to what the roulette indicates, and the last person who doesn’t fall wins.

Because players’ limbs get tangled and they end up in awkward positions during the game, it’s called “Twister,” from the idea of twisting.

It’s especially fun and likely to liven up gatherings of close friends, such as birthday parties.

Although the purpose is a bit different, it’s also one of those games that can spice things up at mixers.
