For a Birthday Party Activity! Silhouette Quiz Ideas (1–10)
In the silhouette quiz, who is this teacher?

Silhouette quizzes are a big hit in preschool activities! Usually, the questions are made using the shadows of familiar tools or foods, but why not try using the teachers’ silhouettes once in a while? That said, it can be hard to guess correctly from just a silhouette.
That’s where this item comes in! Attach a photo of the teacher to a piece of thick paper with a handle, then cover the photo with a strip of black construction paper so the picture can’t be seen.
Put a loop of tape at the center on the back of the construction paper to stick it on.
This way, you can peel back the construction paper from both sides to reveal parts of the face, making it easier for the children to guess.
Silhouette quiz with paper puppets

Here’s a silhouette quiz using paper theater (peepusaat) that can help nurture imagination and creativity.
“Peepusaat” is a paper puppet theater technique where you draw different illustrations on the front and back of a fan-like card, and by flipping it, you express a change.
This time, you draw silhouettes like circles and triangles on one side, and the answers—such as a clock or a lunch box—on the other side.
It’s fun to watch the picture appear with a quick flip.
Another key point of this idea is to prepare silhouettes that can lead to various possible answers.
Made with paper plates! Silhouette Quiz

Here’s a silhouette quiz you can make with paper plates.
You’ll need two plates for this idea.
Draw the answer illustration on one plate, and draw the silhouette you’ll show for the question on the other.
Then make slits in both plates and fit them together.
Set them so the plate with the silhouette is on top, and when you slide it, the answer is revealed.
It’s fun to see the silhouette gradually change.
Adding sound effects while you move it will make it even more exciting.

Squirrel Cheek Silhouette Quiz

Here’s a squirrel cheek silhouette quiz that captivates children with a unique idea.
First, show the kids a sketchbook featuring a squirrel character.
On the first page, depict the squirrel looking hungry.
On the next page, show the squirrel’s cheeks puffed up, with the silhouette of food appearing inside.
Then take out paper cutouts of different foods and have the children guess what’s inside.
Vegetable & Fruit Silhouette Quiz

There are probably quite a few cases where people don’t know what the foods they usually eat actually look like in their natural form.
That’s why I recommend a silhouette quiz featuring vegetables and fruits.
This quiz would present items that often appear on the dinner table, such as Chinese cabbage and carrots.
Introducing foods that many children dislike, like green peppers, might help them feel more familiar with them.
It would also be fun to include items that people don’t often encounter, like dekopon.
Let’s feature a variety of foods to spark interest.
Insect Silhouette Quiz

Many children love insects, don’t they? Here’s a suggestion: an insect silhouette quiz.
You can feature popular insects like rhinoceros beetles and stag beetles, or familiar ones like butterflies and pill bugs.
There are plenty of illustrations and videos available that are perfect for making silhouette quizzes, so using those to prepare could be a great idea.
This quiz might not only be fun, but also spark interest in insects and bug-catching.
Sea Creatures Silhouette Quiz

How about trying a silhouette quiz on sea creatures? The ocean isn’t home to just fish.
Crustaceans like shrimp and mammals like sea otters live there too.
It’s also fascinating that there are gigantic animals like whales.
Taking on this quiz might help you discover creatures you didn’t know about and spark an interest in their ecology.
There are many quiz videos on YouTube and plenty of image resources available, so try finding ones you like.
