[Blue Lock] Life-changing quotes. Fiery words from characters who set your heart ablaze (1–10)
Don’t aim to make the right choice; make the path you chose the right one.Bachira Meguru
Spontaneous and innocent Bachira Meguru, unusually, seems to be troubled in this scene—though maybe he wasn’t actually worried after all? These words appear when he’s torn over which country’s team to choose in the “Neo Egoist League.” Rather than living passively by “just picking and leaving the rest to luck,” it feels like he’s telling us that what matters is the strong will to carve out the path you’ve chosen yourself.
Remember Bachira’s line the next time you have to make a choice.
A blazing raw gem called talent, if left unpolished, turns into self-satisfying trash.Jinhachi the Artistically Gifted

At just the right moment—when key characters from various places are gathered and the story starts to move forward—Jinpachi delivers this line.
In terms of the comics, it’s around volume 3.
As you’d expect, when you bring together a lot of players, some people are talented but lazy.
You probably know someone like that too, right? Jinpachi often plays a pretty heel-like role, but he does give solid advice.
It’s just that the way he says things… is extremely quirky.
“Raw gem of talent” is a phrase Jinpachi uses a lot, and it shows up repeatedly throughout the story.
It’s fun to read with that in mind.
You can’t truly feel regret unless you accept your defeat.Seishiro Nagi
@user2263325271008 #CapCutI cut corners, but this is my favorite Sei Shiro Nagi quote.
♪ Original song – Hanamakitaro – Hanamakitaro
Speaking of Seishiro Nagi, he’s a laid-back, loose, and seemingly unmotivated character.
The fact that he was called up to Blue Lock just six months after starting shows his high potential and real ability, but he never really seemed to be enjoying himself on the field.
However, after losing a match to the protagonist Isagi, he discovered how fun soccer can be.
This famous quote is something Nagi muttered to Barou, who was playing selfishly.
It shows just how significant that defeat was to someone like Nagi, who had never shown strong interest in anything, and how much it changed him.
You can’t become the world’s best striker unless you’re the world’s biggest egotist.Jinhachi the Artistically Gifted

If you like Blue Lock, you probably like soccer too.
Let’s step away from the manga and talk a bit about the sport itself.
How many years has it been now that people keep saying, “The Japan national team lacks finishing ability”? No matter how great the teamwork is, you can’t win if you don’t score—this is the reality.
I want the Japan squad to have a charismatic player who charges forward with an “It’s all me!” mentality, someone who might even seem selfish.
That egoist’s line is a core element of Blue Lock.
The scene where the protagonist, Yoichi Isagi, has his naive thinking shattered, and the scene where Jinpachi delivers a long speech about his creed—both are already iconic moments in the very first episode.
It was honestly pretty shocking!
Even in despair, the power to “make dreams come true” dwells in those who still choose to fight.Jinhachi the Artistically Gifted

The story kicks off as the ace-caliber players from across the country are gathered into the team.
Players brimming with talent don’t lose often, so when they do, they tend to get totally deflated—like, “thud.” This line is what Teruei Barou says after losing to the protagonist, Isagi Yoichi.
It’s a phrase from a longer monologue where Jinpachi lays out his own theory about what it means to “lose.” He delivers it while casually eating cup yakisoba, which oddly gives the words an extra sense of conviction.
It’s a fantastic scene and line—highly recommended if you haven’t seen it!
