If you’re a professional fighter, this is the kind of entrance song you either want to use at least once or have already used—it’s a staple.

Released in 1986 by the heavy metal band Europe, this song has sold 15 million copies.

The entrance song used by Takanori Hatakeyama, who competed in the super featherweight division, was “RE-BORN,” released by Kyosuke Himuro in 1998.

He may have been inspired by the title’s meaning of “rebirth” or “being born again.” Hatakeyama was known for his quick, rotational speed as a weapon, so this fast-paced, driving song suits him perfectly!

Once You Had GoldEnya

As a song to play before heading into battle, “Once You Had Gold” is almost too beautiful.

This is Hozumi Hasegawa’s entrance theme.

You might think, such a quiet song? But it’s said to suit the reserved Hasegawa perfectly.

Rather than stoking fighting spirit, a track that calms the mind and allows for single-point focus is cool in its own way.

Enya’s voice echoes through the quiet ring before the match.
