Origami “Hand Spinner”

[Idea] A hand spinner made of origami? It spins this much??
Origami “Hand Spinner”

The “hand spinner” once sparked a huge craze.

Did you know you can even make one out of origami? All you need are three sheets of origami paper, scissors, a stapler, and an awl—items you probably already have at home.

Follow the folding method explained in the video and give it a try.

It’s also fun to experiment with different color combinations!

Insect collecting

Since I can't go collecting because of the move, I'll go for Hime-oo collecting on 2024-11-30 😅 #Hime-oo #stag beetle collecting
Insect collecting

Insects are the most numerous creatures living on land.

It’s surprising, isn’t it, that there are said to be over a million species just in their classification? If the weather is nice, how about heading out to the suburbs to go insect collecting? You might find rhinoceros beetles or stag beetles, which you don’t often see in the city.

These popular insects often gather on sawtooth oaks, so let’s start by learning about sawtooth oak trees! Since many girls aren’t fond of bugs, insect collecting tends to be more of a boys’ pastime.

Kendama

Have you ever seen a performance by professional kendama player Yusuke Ito? He’s a true kendama performer recognized by Guinness World Records in two different events! If you get the chance, be sure to check him out.

These days you can even find kendamas at 100-yen shops—why not take a break from digital life and get excited about an old-school game? The simpler the game, the more you can get hooked.

The thrill when you land the ball on the biggest cup is something else! And for energetic boys—please be careful not to swing the ball part around.

Bounce-Off style game

Bounce-Off is a game where you bounce balls into a tray so they match the pattern shown on a card.

This video is eye-opening because you can recreate it without buying the game—just use an egg carton and ping-pong balls from a 100-yen shop.

It’s also great that you can make your own pattern cards.

Give it a try and use this as a reference!

Nanjamonja Game

[Going Viral] We played the Ninjamonja game with our cousins and siblings and burst into hysterical laughter lol
Nanjamonja Game

It’s a simple indoor game that uses a special set of commercially available cards.

Each card features a strangely shaped monster.

There are 12 types of monsters, with 5 cards of each, for a total of 60 cards.

The rules are easy: place all the cards face down as a draw pile, and players take turns drawing one card at a time.

When you draw a card, give the monster on it a nickname on the spot.

Keep going like this, and whenever a monster appears that has already been nicknamed, say its nickname—whoever says it first wins.

It’s fun just coming up with silly nicknames, and when a nicknamed monster shows up and no one can remember its name right away, everyone mumbling and fumbling for it is hilarious and really livens things up!

Shooting Splash

Back in the days before games and computers were so widespread, boys were always playing outside and everyone got a deep tan, right? With the motto “Aim to be a lively kid!!,” why not play Shooting Splash on sunny days? In simple terms, Shooting Splash is a game where you have water gun battles.

Instead of small water pistols, you use larger ones with a bit more range and shoot at paper targets stuck on your opponent’s chest or back.

It really gets exciting! Especially recommended in summer!

dodgeball

[Dodgeball] Which is stronger: a national champion team or fully equipped amateurs?
dodgeball

What was the game you played most often on the school grounds in elementary school? Cops and Robbers? Hide-and-seek? Surprisingly, I imagine most people would answer dodgeball.

I remember that whenever a few boys got together, we’d always play dodgeball out in the schoolyard.

The “dodge” in dodgeball comes from the English word “dodge,” meaning to nimbly and quickly evade.

Even in a small space, it’s fun to play on a square or circular field.

And for some reason, dodgeball in a tight space always gets everyone hyped up!
