You’ll surely be drawn in by the high level of musicality and the powerful, skillful vocals.

Wilber Pan, a Taiwanese singer from the United States, has popularized a variety of tracks based on a vocal style that blends Chinese and English rap.

Known for his collaborations, he teamed up with Chinese singer Xueni (Shen’s) and scored a hit with a song released in 2005.

It’s a cover—the original is “Y (Please Tell Me Why)” by the Korean hip-hop group Free Style.

This mid-tempo track features a wistful acoustic sound, and the lyrics, which express how much the singer needs the other person—so much that it feels like they must love them—carry a subtle sense of sadness.

With its familiar, catchy melody, it also seems perfect for karaoke!

Thank you for having been here.Ayo97 & A Han

A fantasy-tinged track released in February 2019.

While it falls into the heartbreak-song category, it isn’t straightforward—its lyrics are abstract, full of phrasing that’s a bit removed from reality.

You can kind of sense that from the cover art, right? Is the original motif Assassin’s Creed, perhaps? It’s a ballad leaning toward rap, and I think that makes it approachable for Japanese listeners.
