Rising SunEXILE
It was released as EXILE’s 37th single.
It is a charity song produced to support the reconstruction of areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
The music video also features members from groups other than EXILE, such as Sandaime J Soul Brothers and GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE.
Hey Kazuyuzu
Released as Yuzu’s 33rd single, it was chosen as the campaign song for the Japanese Red Cross Society’s “Hatachi no Ketsueki” blood donation campaign.
Following the Great East Japan Earthquake, a live version was released as a digital exclusive.
Created around the theme of “peace,” it drew on interviews with war survivors and others for reference.
Flowers will bloom.hana wa saku purojekuto
Released in 2012.
This charity song was created to support both the emotional and material recovery of the areas and people affected by the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake.
It was produced by artists from Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima Prefectures, and all royalties are donated to municipalities in the affected regions through the NHK Welfare and Culture Organization.
Participants include Eikoh Kano, Mimori Yusa, and Masatoshi Nakamura.
Let It BeFerry Aid
In 1987, as part of a project created to aid victims of a ferry disaster near Belgium that claimed nearly 200 lives, a cover of the Beatles’ “Let It Be” was released.
Participating artists included Paul McCartney and Boy George.
I love you & I need you, FukushimaInawashirokoz
Inawashiroko’s is a band made up of four musicians from Fukushima Prefecture.
This song, which also serves as a charity single for the Great East Japan Earthquake, features contributions from Masaharu Fukuyama and Yoichi Kondo of Sambomaster.
There are various versions, including one by Kiyoshiro Imawano.
All proceeds are donated to the Fukushima Prefecture Disaster Response Headquarters.
We Are The World 25 Years for HaitiArtists For Haiti
Released in 2010.
A charity song aimed at supporting victims of the Haiti earthquake that struck in January of the same year.
Like We Are The World, it features a star-studded lineup.
Participating artists include Lionel Richie, Justin Bieber, Céline Dion, Toni Braxton, and others.
Do They Know It’s Christmas?Band Aid
Band Aid was a charity project that brought together top artists from the UK and Ireland.
Recorded in just one day in November 1984 to aid famine relief in Ethiopia, the track is marked by its dazzling synth‑pop sound and majestic choral work.
Star performers like Bono and George Michael take turns on solo parts, and the all-hands refrain unites the entire venue.
Upon its release in December 1984, it held the No.
1 spot on the UK charts for five consecutive weeks and became a record-breaking hit, selling one million copies in its first week.
It was re-recorded in 1989, 2004, and 2014, and in 2024 an ultimate mix was produced that blends all past versions.
