[2026] The spirit of mutual support connected by music: A collection of classic charity songs
Although dark news such as wars and major disasters continues day after day, those who are actually facing hardship may not even have the luxury of listening to music.
Even so, artists around the world have released many charity songs that will go down in music history, guided by their own convictions.
Because these songs lead directly to support, it’s important that we as listeners can take part in charitable activities by purchasing the tracks.

Blige, Sheryl Crow, LeAnn Rimes, and Beyoncé.

SaraiKayama Yūzō & Tanimura Shinji

Released in 1992.
Used as the theme song for the TV program “24-Hour Television: Love Saves the Earth,” this track was produced within the show in 1992.
A portion of the royalties from the song and revenue from karaoke were donated to the program’s charity fund.

A reconstruction support project for the Great East Japan Earthquake initiated by Keisuke Kuwata.
It was sold as a limited-time release through December 31, 2011.
Participants included Keisuke Kuwata, Masaharu Fukuyama, Perfume, Porno Graffitti, Bakufu Slump, and Riisa Naka, among others.

It was released as a digital-only single by Girugamesh.
The song was written to capture the “prayers” they felt while overseas on their world tour during the Great East Japan Earthquake, and the “wishes” they held after returning to Japan.
An English version was later produced as well.

This is a song that TERU released on Twitter for the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake, which GLAY later distributed as a charity single.
Released in 2011.
In recognition of the substantial support from Taiwan, and as a gesture of gratitude, it is included only on CDs sold in Taiwan.
HPE All Cast ver.MAJOR MUSIC

Released in 2011.
It is a charity song created in response to the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Many artists participated, including KREVA, Masafumi Gotoh of ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, Mummy-D and Utamaru of RHYMESTER, Daichi Miura, and SEEDA.
Beautiful city ~ Let’s do our best, We love KOBE ~Hiramatsu Eri

Released in 1995, this is Eri Hiramatsu’s 16th single.
It was released as the campaign song for Kobe’s recovery, “Ganbaroya! WE LOVE KOBE,” following the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, and the royalties were allocated to funds for Kobe’s reconstruction.
Takako Okamura and Chikaco Sawada, among others, participated in the chorus.
