An anthem to support childcare that I want to dedicate to moms and dads. Inspiring classics and popular songs that keep you going.
Introducing uplifting songs we want tired moms and dads to hear!
Kids can be demanding, they don’t listen… Parenting can make you frustrated, and sometimes it brings you to tears.
Caring for a newborn or a toddler in the “no” phase can especially make you feel like, “I’m the one who wants to cry.”
When your emotions are unsteady, you might find your tone getting harsh or that you scold too much—and then blame yourself afterward, don’t you?
In those moments, try leaning on the power of music to take a little breather.
Remember the moment your child was born: “Thank you for coming into this world.” “No matter what happens, I’ll protect you.” Those feelings will come back to you.
Try listening together with your child.

MiracleMINMI

A message song from MINMI, herself a mother, sent from the baby in the womb to Mom and Dad.
It’s included on the album “MOTHER.” The song was created as part of a project by Teruteru Inochi, a group founded by Wakadanna of Shonan no Kaze to support children with serious illnesses.
It carries the wishes of a baby in the womb—to do many things together with Mom and Dad after being born, and to be loved no matter who they are.
If you listen to this song as a message from a baby, your love for your little one will overflow even more!
Motherkariyushi 58

The band Kariyushi 58, with all members from Okinawa, always strikes straight at the heart.
Their song “Anma” also has straightforward lyrics, expressing gratitude for the life and love passed down by our parents.
When you’re raising children, even when you’re doing your best, there are many moments of anxiety.
This song reminds you that you were once a child too.
And it makes you realize that your mother raised you, and that she might have felt uncertainties just like you do now.
But she always believed in you and embraced everything.
This song brings back the memory of being loved by your mother and fills you with love for your own child.
You are not aloneDUFF

A track by DUFF, a band from Kyoto Prefecture.
It’s a song that evokes youth spent with friends, but as you read the lyrics, it can also be understood as a message from parents to their child—and from the child back to the parents.
No matter how much mischief the child gets into or how angry they make you, Mom and Dad are always on their side.
Even if the whole world were against them, Mom and Dad would remain their steadfast allies.
Even on days when you feel like you’re scolding your child nonstop, listening to this song can calm your heart and remind you, “I’m still on your side.” And when the child grows up, if they gift this song to their parents with the meaning “Now it’s my turn to support you,” Mom and Dad are guaranteed to be moved to tears!
storyAI

The English version of this song is known for being used as the ending theme for the Japanese release of the film Big Hero 6.
It’s a piece filled with gratitude for loved ones and the desire to protect them.
Children are incredibly precious to moms and dads, aren’t they? While the movie portrays the bond between brothers, I think many parts of the lyrics also resonate with a parent’s feelings for their child.
It’s a gentle ballad you can listen to even while caring for your kids, so please try listening to it together as a family.
from now onHirahara Ayaka

This is a song by Ayaka Hirahara that conveys the resolve of parents in raising their child.
It was written and composed by Yoshiki Mizuno of Ikimono-gakari and arranged by Seiji Kameda.
The track is included on the album “Dear Music ~15th Anniversary Album~.” No matter how exhausting the child-rearing period may be, or even if there are arguments, the moment a life begins, parents make up their minds to raise that child.
That resolve can become clouded by hardships and may sometimes weaken.
In such moments, this song—through Ayaka Hirahara’s warm, powerful vocals—helps you reaffirm that resolve.
BelieveChe’Nelle

One of the signature songs by Che’Nelle, a singer known for her beautiful, powerful, and straight-reaching vocals.
Many of you may have heard it, as it was the theme song for the film “BRAVE HEARTS: Umizaru.” At first glance, the lyrics may feel like a love song to many listeners.
However, it can also be interpreted as a song about the bonds between friends, and its message can even be applied to the love between parent and child.
It’s a song that helps us rediscover the miracle of a parent–child encounter and the preciousness of each other’s existence.

The thing I wanted mostMakihara Noriyuki

Noriyuki Makihara creates many songs that turn ordinary, everyday moments into something pop and moving.
One of those songs is “The One I Wanted Most.” Listening to this song is incredibly uplifting.
That’s why I especially want dads and moms who are exhausted from parenting to hear it.
When you’re raising kids, there are so many times you feel like, “I’m the one who wants to cry.” When you feel like you’re even forgetting your gentle feelings, this power song, filled with love, soothes you and brings back the strength to protect your child’s smile.
