My feelingsKawasaki Takaya

Singer-songwriter Takaya Kawasaki, who thrives with catchy J-pop as his weapon.
Among his works—which drew attention from younger generations with the hit “Mahō no Jūtan” (“Magic Carpet”)—the song I especially recommend for expressing gratitude to fathers and mothers is “Boku no Kimochi” (“My Feelings”).
Kawasaki himself is a father of one, and the lyrics are crafted with moving, true-to-life realism.
Be sure to check it out.
Letter ~To My Beloved~Fujita Maiko

Maiko Fujita’s “Tegami ~To My Beloved You~” is a song that carefully expresses deep gratitude to one’s parents.
In this work, she openly conveys appreciation for parents’ unconditional love and support, and simply hearing it brings back nostalgic memories of childhood from a child’s perspective.
The lyrics, crafted with great care and based on Fujita’s own real experiences, are sure to resonate with many listeners.
It is a standout ballad to play when you want to reflect on the parent-child bond and family love, and to express gratitude to someone dear.
Life Is BeautifulKetsumeishi

Ketsumeishi’s song, an emotional ballad celebrating the beauty of life, was included on the album Ketsunopolis 5 in August 2007.
It carries a positive message that by overcoming tears and hardships, we can feel how wonderful life truly is.
Chosen as the ending theme for the game Ryū ga Gotoku Kenzan! (Yakuza: Kenzan!) and performed on the 2021 NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen, the track has been featured in various contexts.
For busy moms and dads juggling childcare, it’s a reminder of the importance of time spent with their children.
Listen when you’re tired, and it’s sure to soothe your heart.

Shape of LoveMISIA

Known as a love song that depicts the depth and diversity of love, “Ai no Katachi feat.
HIDE (GReeeeN)” is the first collaboration between MISIA and HIDE from GReeeeN.
With its heartrending melody and warm lyrics, it portrays various forms of love—such as between parent and child or husband and wife—resonating with many listeners.
As one of MISIA’s signature songs, it has been highly acclaimed, including multiple performances at NHK’s Kōhaku Uta Gassen.
This masterpiece is especially recommended for moms and dads who know the joys and challenges of raising children.
From your momHatsuda Etsuko

After giving birth to her eldest daughter and spending some time as a homemaker, singer Etsuko Hatsuta resumed the music career she had put on hold.
In 2009, she made her debut with “Kimi no Mama yori,” featuring lyrics she wrote herself.
The realistic lyrics—expressing not only the joy of having a child but also the regret of losing one’s temper and the deep love for one’s child—are something I believe any parent with child-rearing experience can relate to.
MomHONEY WORKS

A Vocaloid song by the creator unit HoneyWorks.
The highlight is its tear-jerking lyrics.
As children grow up, various conflicts arise between mother and child.
Even a child who used to be honest can become rebellious during adolescence, but a mother’s love never changes.
It’s a song I especially want people raising teenagers to listen to.
Mom’s DreamNEW!acane

There are times in parenting when you’re exhausted and out of reserves, aren’t there? That’s exactly when I hope you’ll listen to this work sung by acane.
It’s a ballad that lays bare her real feelings for her three-year-old child, voicing without embellishment the struggle of not being a perfect parent and the profound love to protect one’s child at all costs.
Released in July 2025 as the first step in a continuing series, it traces the path toward a milestone 10th-anniversary solo concert.
It’s a moving song I’d recommend to anyone battling self-loathing or giving their all in raising a child.
