Christmas frame

A Christmas frame is a special item that lets you enjoy a subtle festive feel.
We’ll make one using photo frames you can buy at 100-yen shops and the like.
First, remove the clear front sheet and backing from the photo frame, and use only the bottom base panel.
Cover the base with fabric that matches the color or pattern of your piece.
Then, on the fabric-covered base, attach green moss, artificial flowers, and other materials to create Christmas-themed pieces like trees or wreaths.
Choose the size of the photo frame to match the size of the piece you want to make.
Christmas tree made with pipe cleaners

A Christmas tree made with shimmering, eye-catching chenille stems (pipe cleaners).
Cut construction paper into a tree shape, then fold and lay the pipe cleaners from the bottom up so there are no gaps.
Combining green, gold, red, and other colors creates a beautiful gradient.
Add a loop at the top to turn it into a hanging ornament, and decorate with ribbons or beads for an instant festive touch.
The softness and luster of the pipe cleaners stimulate children’s creativity and help develop fine motor skills.
The finished tree can be displayed anywhere and instantly fills the room with a sparkling Christmas atmosphere—an easy, dazzling holiday craft idea.
Easy with cardboard! A yarn Christmas tree

A Christmas tree made by wrapping yarn around a cardboard base has a warm, charming feel.
Cut the cardboard into a triangle and wrap your favorite color of yarn around and around.
If you change colors partway through, you’ll create a gradient for a more stylish finish.
Add yarn pom-poms or beads at the end to complete the tree.
Since you don’t use glue or scissors, even small children can work on it safely.
It fits anywhere and is the perfect size for a tabletop.
This is a Christmas tree idea you can get absorbed in making, using familiar materials that bring a cozy sense of warmth.
Complete with just two pieces of fabric! Easy Christmas tree

This Christmas tree made from two pieces of fabric is a simple project—just sew them together and fold—making it perfect for sewing beginners.
Cut the outer and lining fabrics into half-circle shapes and sew them together.
Simply changing the fabric patterns transforms the look completely, letting you style it in Scandinavian or natural tastes.
Picking cute fabrics with kids and experiencing hand-stitching can also give a great sense of accomplishment.
It’s a Christmas tree idea that adds warmth to your room and is perfect for winter décor.
A Christmas tree you can make with your kids!

This is an idea for a 3D Christmas tree made with construction paper and Christmas parts that you can enjoy as a parent-child craft.
A template is provided, so start by downloading and printing it out.
Place the template over the construction paper, secure it so it doesn’t move, and trace the lines with a hard object to leave indentations.
Then cut away the excess with scissors and assemble it into the shape of a tree.
There’s one spot where you’ll need to make a hole with an awl, so be careful to avoid injury.
Once the tree is complete, decorate it with line stickers and ornaments to give it a festive finish.

Let’s make a Christmas card by gluing extra buttons onto a base.
It’s easy to make, yet you’ll end up with a stylish, three-dimensional card! Line up two buttons vertically to make a “snowman,” or arrange them in a triangle to make a “tree.” Use felt, ribbon, and stickers to decorate and finish it into a lovely card.
Since buttons are thick, this won’t work for a folded card, but if you want to tuck a little handmade card in with a gift, definitely give this a try.

A Christmas card pieced together from fabric scraps

Here’s an idea for designing Christmas cards using stickers made from fabric scraps.
The patchwork look makes for a very lovely card.
You can easily make the fabric-scrap stickers by covering one side of double-sided tape completely with fabric scraps, then trimming off any excess that extends beyond the tape.
Once you’ve settled on a design, cut the sticker to match the shape, peel off the backing paper, and stick it onto the card base.
It’s also recommended to combine them with decorative elements made from stickers or craft punches!
