No-English game

I shadowed a UUUM employee YouTuber for a day and tried a no-English challenge!
No-English game

It’s the familiar TV game where you’re not allowed to say certain English words.

But this time, the game takes place at Christmas… With trees, presents, cakes, and more, English words are everywhere around you.

It looks easy, but you’ll find yourself blurting out English more and more!

Signaling Game

[Signal Game] A hugely popular activity—preschoolers love it, and elementary school kids like it too.
Signaling Game

It’s a fun, active game inspired by traffic signals.

The caller shouts either red, blue, or yellow, and participants perform the corresponding action.

Blue means jump one step forward, yellow means jump one step back, and red means don’t move—players must react instantly.

It’s very simple, but because you keep making big movements to the rhythm, it becomes hard to recover once you notice a mistake—that’s the tricky part.

The standard version uses three actions, but you could add other moves to make it even more exciting for the group.

Glove theater

A “glove theater” using gloves is easy to make and lets you freely come up with lots of stories.

Create little puppets for each fingertip of the glove.

Try making cute ones—animals or favorite characters—using ribbons and felt.

You can choose a fairy tale for the story, or try performing an original one.

It’s a recommended activity that even little children will love!

Since it’s a rare chance to have a party, the atmosphere around you matters too, right? In times like that, let’s decorate.

As the room gets more and more festive, I think everyone’s mood will lift.

You can make decorations easily just by getting creative with things you don’t need, like milk cartons.

It’s also great for kids’ crafts.

tablecloth trick

Tablecloth pull — in a word, magnificent!!!
tablecloth trick

How about trying a classic party trick: the tablecloth pull? You whisk the tablecloth out from under plates and glasses while they’re still on top.

The key is to pull downward, not sideways.

Be careful about what you place on the cloth—using food, drinks, or glassware could end in disaster! If you deliberately pick items that will make cleanup a challenge to add some suspense, make sure to practice thoroughly beforehand.

Making a Santa hat

Making a Santa hat

If you wear Santa hats for a Christmas party, it will definitely set the mood and be a lot of fun! You can easily make them by hand by combining red fleece with a fabric often called poodle boa or poodle fur.

Since you’ll use a sewing machine, it could be fun to make them together with older elementary school kids.

If you’re making them with younger children or want an even simpler method, using fabric glue or construction paper is also recommended.

body percussion

A game you can play using only your body: body percussion.

Start by clapping your hands and gradually expand the range and increase the number of movements.

While keeping the rhythm, tap various parts of your body—your hands, stomach, hips, and legs.

Begin slowly, then gradually add more beats and speed up.

It might also be fun to try it to music that children love.

It requires no tools, takes up no space, and is a fun activity you can do right where you are.
