Yamazaki is number one!Yamazaki Kunimasa

The rakugo performer Kunimasa Yamazaki, who also drew attention in 2013 for changing his stage name to the rakugo name “Tsukitei Hōsei,” sang “Yamazaki Ichiban!” which was used as the opening theme for Gakkyū-ō Yamazaki, a five-minute anime that aired within the show Oha Suta.
As part of a collaboration project between Oha Suta and Yoshimoto Kogyo, Yamazaki began performing the song from episode 22 onward.
Known for his strong singing ability, Yamazaki’s powerful and clear voice is a perfect fit for an anime opening theme broadcast on a morning program.
Including the anime’s title itself, it’s a song that suits Kunimasa Yamazaki perfectly.
Sorry for falling in love with you.Yoshimotosaka 46

When it comes to songs by comedians, we tend to expect something humorous, but this track is a genuinely serious love song.
Sung by CHAO, a unit from Yoshimotozaka46, it centers on the theme of a heartrending breakup, portraying complex emotions toward someone they happen to run into in a shopping district at dusk.
It’s included on Yoshimotozaka46’s third single, “Funō de wa Irenai,” released in December 2019, with vocals by the unit’s three members: Ganbareruya’s Yoshiko and Mahiru, and Yuriyan Retriever.
The star-studded creative team—lyrics by Yasushi Akimoto, music and arrangement by Yuichi Ichikawa—is another highlight.
It’s a perfect song for anyone who wants to savor the bittersweet, complicated feelings of love and heartbreak.
Strawberry shortcakeKisaragi Maron

Do you know Marron Kisaragi, the underground idol who sprang from the popular comedy show “Ariyoshi no Kabe”? She’s a character played by Kamichii from the red-hot comedy trio JARUJARU—wait, actually by the trio JELARDON (Jeradon).
And now, Marron-chan is making a full-on debut.
Her idol song “Strawberry Shortcake,” which pushes a quirky, indescribably mysterious vibe, is hilarious even as a comedy bit.
Despite being a song about shortcake, earthworms and pill bugs show up… it’s pure chaos.
The call-and-response that sounds like Nishimoto’s tsukkomi is laugh-out-loud funny too!

It’s a class reunion.ojioji

On the variety show Ariyoshi no Kabe, popular comedians take on serious song-based sketches.
Each act has its own flavor, but the one I’ll introduce here is a song by the duo Sisonne called “It’s a Class Reunion.” Sung over a sound reminiscent of PRINCESS PRINCESS’s classic “Diamonds,” it tells a grandfather’s class reunion story.
He meets his classmates for the first time in 60 years, yet the moment he sees their faces, their names come right back to him.
It’s a slightly moving turn—“Some things don’t change, even with time”—but the punchline is that he’s the only one whose name no one remembers, which is kind of tear-jerking.
Flame (En) ~kougu memory~KOUGU ishin

Chocolate Planet’s TT Brothers and Jungle Pocket’s “Exercises That Are Effective Nowhere” both originated from the variety show Ariyoshi no Kabe.
Amid the flood of new gags and unit teams born from the show, the one that really stands out is KOUGU Ishin.
Their 2.5D musical-style performances that personify tools have a bright, addictive quality that makes you want to see more.
In the song “Homura (En) ~kougu memory~,” tools like screwdrivers and drills appear in the lyrics, which unfold with an undercurrent of battling an evil organization.
It’s packed with playful parodies that evoke the Takarazuka Revue and contemporary 2.5D musicals.
It’s a track everyone will want to listen to together while tossing in plenty of witty asides.
Nodding Marchunazuki torio

Ryuusuke from Shinsuke-Ryusuke, Beat Kiyoshi from The Two Beat, and Youhachi Shimada from B&B—their respective straight-man roles—formed the Nodders Trio, riding the 1980s manzai boom.
Eiichi Ohtaki handled songwriting, composition, and production.
All by myself, I am someone.Ozuwarudo Hatanaka × Sutekijanai ka Kashiwagi × Namidabashi Tarou

The song “Zenbu Jibun de Jibun wa Dareka de” was created by three comedians who share a room: Oswald’s Yu Hatanaka, Sutekijanai ka’s Naruhiko Kashiwagi, and former Namidabashi’s Taro.
The ensemble is arranged solely with acoustic guitar, and Yu Hatanaka’s gentle singing voice really touches the heart.
Even in a world that can make us feel lonely, the hopeful message about caring for one another—though a difficult theme—is surely something everyone longs for.
Precisely because it’s sung by comedians, this lyrical number resonates all the more deeply.
