CRYSTAL LAKE’s best and most popular songs (11–20)
The PassageCrystal Lake

The opening synth and acoustic guitar-like sound pair really well with the heavy breakdown.
I love how the track starts—it’s very cool.
However, compared to now, both the English pronunciation and the shouting technique are not quite there.
Ups&DownsCrystal Lake

I think the intro where the guitar gradually gets louder and goes up! up! up! down! down! down! is great.
It really makes you wonder what kind of song is about to begin.
I also think the vocal level is quite high.
There aren’t many Japanese artists who can pull that off to that extent.
MahakalaCrystal Lake

One of my personal favorite songs.
It’s the very definition of metalcore—a boldly swaggering track.
The sing-along parts feel great to listen to.
The death growls sound downright demonic in the best way.
And the phrase at the key change leading into the breakdown is insanely cool.
A Crisis To The ExistenceCrystal Lake

It feels like a very typical way for a song to start, but I personally like the guitar chord progression.
The track itself is cool, but the vocals in this piece are very disappointing.
I can’t understand a word they’re saying.
The shouts aren’t good either.
AlphaCrystal Lake

Among Crystal Lake’s tracks, this one is quite short—almost like a sound effect.
It’s the kind of music that gives you goosebumps, as if declaring the live show is about to begin.
The use of synths is stylish and cool.
Above all, this track really highlights how incredible the vocals are.
Body Movin’Crystal Lake

It starts off like a DJ or rap track—something that makes everyone want to jump.
The song features prominent double bass drumming.
The rests are used in a really nice way.
Then a guitar phrase comes in that evokes traditional Japanese folk music.
It’s quite fun to listen to.
There’s also a sudden key change, which works really well.

DreamcatcherCrystal Lake

The intro shifts from a feeling of being out in outer space to a straightforward rock sound.
From there, a guitar phrase with a grand sense of scale comes in and the song begins.
It feels poppier and fresher than the usual Crystal Lake.
