Digital Lime HustlerLIQ

An aggressive soundscape interwoven with a dope flow—simply irresistible.
This track is by LIQ, a Vocaloid producer known for works like “Frontier” and “ALICE iN BLACK MARKE,” released in 2021.
It’s a hard-hitting, guitar-heavy, and undeniably cool nu-metal/mixture number.
And the lyricism is quintessential hip-hop.
You can really sense LIQ’s musical breadth here.
Definitely give it a listen when you want to boost your mood.
DistanceLONG SHOT PARTY

LONG SHOT PARTY is an innovative alternative rock band with a dazzling brass section.
The guitarist, Shuichi, hails from Oshu City in Iwate Prefecture.
Formed in Sendai in 1998, they successfully completed a nationwide tour of 53 venues in 2002.
Their major-label debut single, “distance,” released in 2008, was used as the theme song for the TV Tokyo anime Naruto Shippuden.
They were active internationally, including a performance at JAPAN EXPO 2010 in France, but, much to fans’ regret, they disbanded after their 2010 solo concert “THANKS 2010.”
This Lonely HeartLOUDNESS

One of the most famous Japanese heavy metal bands in the world—that’s Loudness.
Centered around Akira Takasaki and Munetaka Higuchi, both from the band Lazy (which is also known for having Hironobu Kageyama as a member), Loudness was formed in 1981.
There was a period when Takasaki was the only original member left, but the band relaunched with the original lineup in 2000.
Sadly, Higuchi passed away in 2008, yet the band has remained highly active into the 2020s.
The influence Loudness has had on subsequent musicians is immeasurable.
As one of the first Japanese heavy metal bands to break into the global market, they became a legendary act with a passionate overseas fanbase, even landing their albums in the Billboard Top 100.
I recommend starting with the works from the first lineup, then exploring releases from other periods.

Dear My FriendLittle Glee Monster feat. Pentatonix

They’re getting married and starting a new life, but that doesn’t mean everything will go perfectly.
Sometimes they’ll fight and feel down.
This is a gentle message song meant to make you think, “It’s okay—because that person is on my side.” It’s a collaboration between the girls’ vocal group Little Glee Monster and the a cappella group Pentatonix, released in 2020.
The smooth, pleasant choral work is truly wonderful.
Thank you for meeting me.Lugz&Jera

A ballad by Lugz & Jera filled with gratitude and love for someone special.
While expressing thanks for the miracle of meeting, it carefully portrays the inner change of being able to look forward thanks to the other person’s presence, and conveys deep love and resolve through the story—from a time of loneliness to a vow to walk together.
Included on the April 2017 album “Sing For Love,” this piece is notable for its gentle tone with R&B elements.
It’s a recommended song for those who want to send heartfelt thanks that words alone can’t fully express at important milestones such as birthdays, graduations, and weddings.
Despacito ft. Daddy YankeeLuis Fonsi

The most successful Latin music hit in the world, “Despacito ft.
Daddy Yankee.” This work by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee transcended the Spanish-speaking world and became popular worldwide.
Many people in Japan are probably familiar with it as well.
It has long been popular in short videos, and recently Daddy Yankee’s part seems to be frequently used as background music.
It appears in the middle of the track, so be sure to check it out.
EncounterMACO

This is a song performed by MACO that expresses the exhilaration of budding romance and the joy of cherishing the moment of meeting someone special.
With a gentle sound centered on acoustic guitar and piano tones, it conveys warmth and happiness straight from the heart.
The lyrics charmingly depict how everyday life changes after meeting that important person, and how you find yourself thinking of them in quiet moments.
It’s a bright, uplifting song that also portrays a strong wish for the happiness felt throughout the body to continue into the future.
