Documentary filmMr.Children

This is a track by Mr.Children, a band that has long led Japan’s music scene, included on their album “SOUNDTRACKS,” released in December 2020.
Although it isn’t tied to any specific promotion, it’s deeply loved by fans as a centerpiece of the album.
The lyrics delicately depict everyday scenes and the subtle sway of emotions, sure to awaken cherished memories in the listener’s heart.
The music video, directed by OSRIN of PERIMETRON, brilliantly captures the world of the song and drew considerable attention.
It’s a beautiful ballad to listen to softly—on a quiet night alone in thought, or when you want to reaffirm the irreplaceable tenderness of daily life.
DoraemonHoshino Gen

Gen Hoshino’s Doraemon theme song is loved by people of all ages.
The song’s overall vocal range is B2 to F4, which makes it quite easy to sing.
In the chorus, where the “do” sounds continue, it’s very important to lock into the rhythm.
The sections that share the same rhythm and timing are just as important.
It’s best to pronounce the words with a light, detailed delivery rather than too crisply.
In the pre-chorus (B-melody), projecting your voice with a big, expansive feel will enhance your expressiveness.
Try singing with an upbeat, fun energy!
The sun will rise somewhereMrs. GREEN APPLE

This warm, mid-tempo ballad was newly written as the theme song for the film “Laughing Lucky Cat” and as the ending theme for the drama of the same name.
It’s an emotional track that portrays the preciousness of everyday life and turning points in one’s journey, and Omori’s lovely vocals really resonate.
The overall vocal range of the song is C#3–D5, so there aren’t many excessively high notes, making it relatively comfortable to sing.
However, the chorus builds toward the latter half and the range rises, so keep your eyebrows lifted and let the voice out with momentum!
Don’t worryONE N’ ONLY

If you’re looking for a heart-piercing, bittersweet ballad, this is a song you should definitely listen to.
ONE N’ ONLY is known for their aggressive performances, but in this piece they convey the pain of heartbreak and a brave front with delicate vocals.
The repeated English phrases in the chorus feel like they’re telling themselves “It’s okay,” and it’s truly heart-wrenching.
It was included on the 2019 single “Category / My Love,” and can also be heard on the album “ON’O.” The melody, composed by Jang Yi-jeong, who is active in the K-pop scene, is beautiful and stirs the emotions with every listen.
It’s a masterpiece that will gently keep you company on a quiet night when you want to dwell on memories alone or sort out your feelings.
DoctrineNiru Kajitsu

Despite its bright, poppy electro sound, it’s shocking how, when you really read the lyrics, the words land with a vaguely ominous, sardonic edge.
Framed in a world that evokes medicine and prescriptions, its message powerfully depicts the pathologies of modern society.
Created by Nirugajitsu, this Vocaloid track was released in February 2021.
It was later included on the mini-album “POPGATO,” themed around consumer society, and it enjoys strong popularity among fans.
At first the melody seems cheerful, but the more you listen, the deeper it grows.
If you’re feeling a bit worn out by day-to-day life or the rapid pace of trends, this might strike a chord.
Including the visuals, be sure to experience its unique duality—like both “poison” and “medicine.”
Dry Town ~Theme of Zero~LOVE PSYCHEDELICO

If you want to immerse yourself in a mysterious atmosphere, be sure to experience this sound.
Released in May 2010, this single by LOVE PSYCHEDELICO was chosen as the main theme for the Fuji TV drama “Zettai Reido: Mikaiketsu Jiken Tokumei Sousa” (Absolute Zero: Special Investigation into Unsolved Cases).
In fact, this piece is a reimagined version—enhanced with strings to suit the drama—of a track originally included on their 2002 album “LOVE PSYCHEDELIC ORCHESTRA.” The dry tone of the guitar layered with sweeping strings further heightens the tense, taut mood of the story.
It’s a masterpiece perfect for nights when you want to quietly sink into your thoughts alone, or when you want to surrender yourself to a deep, resonant sound.
doppelgängerharumakigohan

An immersive work where animation and music are inseparably intertwined.
This piece, which opened Vocaloid producer Harumaki Gohan’s series “Big Sister Pretend,” was released in January 2026.
The story unfolds through motifs such as one’s own shadow and mirror image.
The experience of visuals and sound linking perfectly will give you chills.
If you love highly narrative works, be sure to check it out!
