An epic dark symphony themed around love and peace! Created by Vocaloid producer wotaku and released in May 2025.

It was produced as the fourth character song in the multimedia project “Toxic-a-Holic.” The sound design is overwhelming, fusing hard breakbeats with majestic strings, and Kiyoteru Hiyama’s powerful vocals fit perfectly.

The lyrics are infused with a resolve for self-sacrifice, devotion, and emotions bordering on madness, resulting in a piece that powerfully shakes the listener’s heart.

Once you’re hooked, its immersive world won’t let you go!

This is a signature instrumental piece by KASHIWA Daisuke that opens with a beautiful piano melody and unfolds into a complex, grand sonic world interwoven with strings and electronic tones.

It was first included on the remix album “april.#07,” released in April 2007, and later featured on the album “Re:”.

Over its lengthy 8 minutes and 51 seconds, a dynamic structure emerges in which tranquility and intensity intersect, showcasing a genre-transcending sound that fuses electronica, post-rock, and contemporary classical music.

It’s an ideal track for when you want to focus deeply on work or be enveloped by a sweeping soundscape during a drive.

Although this piece was reportedly composed in just about five minutes, the profound emotion contained within its simplicity gently envelops the listener.

The melody woven by the serene tones of the piano evokes a calm feeling that words cannot fully express, making it a masterpiece that pioneered the healing boom in Japan at the time.

Created in May 1999 as the CM song for Sankyo’s pharmaceutical product “Regain EB Tablets,” it became the first instrumental work to top the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart and achieved the rare feat of ranking fourth on the year-end chart.

It’s ideal as background music when you want to focus on studying or work, perfect for driving or relaxing before bed, and a song I recommend to anyone who wishes to step away from the noise of daily life and find peace of mind.

Count Buffaloes, the big band led by Akira Ishikawa—an essential figure in Japan’s jazz scene.

Released by Victor in 1970, their album Electrum blended jazz with rock and funk in an innovative sound that brought a fresh breeze to the music world of the time.

Top-tier musicians representing Japanese jazz—Ken Muraoka, Masahiko Sato, Hiroshi Suzuki, Kiyoshi Sugimoto, and Masaoki Terakawa—assembled to deliver a stunning ensemble performance.

The four tracks, where electric tones and traditional jazz elements fuse in exquisite balance, are all deeply compelling listens.

In 2024, a limited clear-orange vinyl edition was released, drawing attention from a new generation.

A must-hear masterpiece for fans of jazz-rock and funk, and for anyone who wants to experience the golden era of Japanese jazz.

long-distance relationshipRADWIMPS

The fan-favorite song “Enren” is, as the title suggests, themed around a long-distance relationship, but apparently the lyrics are actually fictional for Noda, who wrote them.

It’s included on the album “RADWIMPS 4 ~Okazu no Gohan~,” and its arrangement is rich in detail: it shifts keys from a three-beat A verse into a chorus where a technical guitar sound explodes—an incredibly cool development—and the slap-driven bass solo is truly thrilling.

While the melody itself is characteristically Noda, it’s best to sing with an awareness not to get pulled too much by the busy sound.
