Stained glass, which is beautiful to look at, can really brighten up Christmas, can’t it? Making real stained glass might seem difficult, but stained glass–style decorations are easy enough for seniors to try.

Place a sheet of clear cellophane over an outline drawing, such as a Christmas tree, and trace the design with a thick pen.

Adding stained glass–style lines around the tree will create a beautiful finish! Next, flip the cellophane over and color it in with markers.

Filling in all the spaces makes it look more festive, so that’s recommended.

Finally, crumple a piece of aluminum foil, open it up, wrap it around a piece of thick paper, and attach the colored cellophane to it—that’s it! Even a plain wall will feel like Christmas with just this one decoration.
