[For Seniors] Let's decorate the December wall with a tree: Easy ideas using origami and yarn (1–10)
Fluffy Christmas Tree Made with Origami and Construction Paper

We often think that it’s hard to express the fluffy texture of a tree, but you can actually capture it perfectly with paper! Just make lots of fine slits in green paper and give them a quick curl, and you can easily create that fluffy, leafy look.
Then attach the finished pieces onto a base shaped like a half cylinder.
With that, the tree itself is done! Add ornaments, and you’ll have a three-dimensional, festive tree.
It’s also great to combine circles cut from construction paper to make ball-like decorations, or to use soft fabric pom-poms!
Tree with stamps
https://www.tiktok.com/@buchiko_hoiku/video/7438038951543180551Let’s use a crumpled piece of paper as a stamp to create a tree.
First, on a black construction paper base, glue on a flowerpot and a tree trunk made from brown-toned construction paper.
On top of that, place a stencil with the inside cut out in the shape of a tree, and stamp with the paint-covered paper.
Use greens with different depths of color and some white paint.
Once you finish stamping, remove the stencil and attach a star made of construction paper to the top of the tree.
Decorate the tree with Christmas stickers as ornaments, and you’re done.
Feel free to embellish any open areas on the base as you like.
Crumpled tissue paper tree
https://www.tiktok.com/@buchiko_hoiku/video/7438179122947411220Here’s a cute Christmas tree idea where you stick crumpled tissue paper onto a cone base.
First, roll a piece of thick paper into a cone to make the base and cover the surface with double-sided tape.
Next, crumple green tissue paper and stick it on to fill the base.
Once the tree itself is done, decorate it with Christmas stickers as ornaments.
To evoke snow, loosely wrap white yarn around the whole tree, then add a star on top to finish.
Try using tissue paper in various colors to create a tree that reflects your own style.
Christmas tree using decalcomania

Fold a sheet of green construction paper in half and open it, then drop paint on only one side.
The paint will become the ornaments, so think about the colors and where you place the drops as you work.
After dropping the paint, fold it in half again to create a decalcomania— it will transfer to the other side.
Cut the construction paper into a tree shape and attach a trunk made from brown construction paper.
Finally, make a star from yellow construction paper and decorate the very top of the tree.
If you punch a hole at the top and thread a string through, it could also become a garland.
Wall-mounted Christmas tree made from paper rolls

Let’s use toilet paper rolls to create a wall-mounted Christmas tree.
First, keeping the triangular shape of a tree in mind, lay out the rolls temporarily in rows to form tiers.
If a roll is too short or too long, cut it to size.
Once you have the triangle, glue the rolls together row by row, and attach green construction paper to the sides.
After everything is attached, secure the whole piece with tape or similar.
For the trunk, connect about three rolls and wrap them with brown yarn.
Fix the triangular section and the trunk to the wall so they connect, and finish by placing a star at the top of the tree.
Adding origami ornaments will make it look even more charming!
Poinsettia Origami Tree

Poinsettias are known as Christmas flowers.
In this idea, we’ll make a wall tree using origami poinsettias.
After folding the origami paper into a triangle three times, open it back up to the state of having been folded twice.
Starting from the outside toward the center, make cuts along the creases.
To round off the corners created by the cuts, trim in a curved line from both corners of the triangle toward the center to shape leaves.
When you open the paper, you’ll have four leaves; stack two of these to make a set of five leaves.
Finish by placing a yellow round sticker in the center to complete the poinsettia.
Make several and arrange them on the wall in the shape of a tree.
Papercut Tree

Fold a sheet of green construction paper in half and draw the shape of half a tree.
Cut along the line with scissors and open it up so it becomes a full tree shape.
Once it’s cut, keep it folded and make slits starting from the folded edge.
Cut parallel to the base, being careful not to cut off the outer edge.
To make all the folds into mountain folds, open the slit sections alternately to the left and right.
Decorate with a star made from yellow construction paper, and add round stickers to represent ornaments—then it’s done.
There are also instructions for making snowflakes, so why not make some to decorate together?
