A diagnosis to determine whether someone has dementia

When you suddenly feel anxious and wonder, “Could I have dementia?”, try this quick psychological test.
For one minute, write down on paper as many animal names as you can think of.
It’s not allowed to list the animals from the Chinese zodiac in order.
Write a variety of animals in a random order.
We’ll assess the possibility of dementia based on how many animals you come up with.
If you are 65 or older and can write 15 or more kinds, or if you are under 65 and can write 20 or more, the likelihood of dementia is low.
If you are 65 or older and can only write 13 or fewer, or if you are under 65 and cannot reach 20, a bit of caution may be warranted.
Dementia Psychological Test

This is a psychological test that can assess your cognitive function.
In the video, five items will appear in sequence.
Please try to remember them.
One major characteristic of dementia is forgetfulness.
Forgetfulness naturally increases with age, but age-related forgetfulness and dementia-related forgetfulness are said to be different.
In the case of dementia, people may forget entire experiences.
If you feel like you learned the items in this test but can’t recall them, that might be okay.
However, if you saw them but have no memory of having seen them at all, it could be a bit concerning.
