Kokoro-eroodo obu mejyaa

It’s a hit song by the rock band Road of Major.

It was used as the opening theme for the anime “Major.” There are many baseball-themed anime, but among them, it’s rare to find a work that depicts the journey from childhood to the challenge of the Major Leagues and all the way to retirement from a baseball career.

Where happiness liesLOCAL CONNECT

A signature song by LOCAL CONNECT, a five-piece rock band from Kyoto, whose translucent vocals resonate deep in the heart.

Included on the mini-album “Kako Tsunagu Mirai” released in June 2015, it was selected as the ending theme for the TV anime “My Love Story!!”.

The lyrics carry the message: “Treasure your true self and nurture the bonds with those around you,” paired with a refreshingly clear melody that leaves a strong impression.

Listening to this track will let you feel life’s joys, sorrows, and its tender preciousness.

It’s a perfect song for those starting a new chapter in life or anyone who wants to cherish their connections with others.

Released in 2011, it is UVERworld’s 19th single, with lyrics written by vocalist TAKUYA∞ and based on real-life experiences.

It’s a powerful, high-energy track befitting the catchphrase, “I’ll change the future with everything I’ve got.”

An expansive and graceful tale that connects people’s hearts across time unfolds.

Released in February 2025, it was chosen as the theme song for the Pokémon Day 2025 commemorative animation “Dragonite and the Mail Carrier.” Suis’s crystal-clear vocals blend beautifully with Evan Call’s refined orchestration, gently coloring the journey of feelings entrusted to a letter.

It’s a warm work that conveys both the ache of emotions that cannot be delivered to their intended recipient and the strength to keep looking forward nonetheless.

Moving Anison Masterpieces and Popular Songs (131–140)

Sacred Girl DomainALI PROJECT

This is the opening theme of Rozen Maiden.

The singer of this song is so popular that she has devoted fans.

Arika Takarano’s voice is addictive from the very first listen, and her vocal ability is on a level that can’t be compared with other singers.

I think of her as the Sachiko Kobayashi of the anime world.

The song has a mysterious atmosphere with a steady rhythm, but the pitch is somewhat challenging, so it’s not easy to hum along.

The lyrics are fairy-tale-like.

ParadiseCAVE

It’s an ending theme from Yu-Gi-Oh!.

I really love the chorus melody and lyrics because they’re so beautiful.

The song, titled “The Sun That Doesn’t Set,” gives me motivation and hope even when I’m feeling down, and it lifts my spirits.

When I listen to this song, it feels like the day is coming to an end.

This is a hit song that served as the opening theme for the highly popular Benizakura Arc in the anime Gintama.

The arc was adapted into a feature film and also into a live-action movie starring Shun Oguri, where the song was used as well.

If you’re a Gintama fan, you probably know it.
