Since discovering music during my school days, I’ve mainly listened to Japanese and Korean pop. I have experience writing articles for sites like Utaten. 2000s J-pop and 2010s K-pop were especially the soundtrack of my youth. With the mindset that “good is good,” I enjoy music across genres. The project was born from former Idoling!!! member Reina Sato’s passion—“While I’m still in my teens, I still want to be an idol”—and has gained popularity with a worldview based on myths and legends from across time and around the world.

In 2021, their fifth anniversary, it was announced that member Yuna Okiguchi would serve as both leader and producer, raising expectations that the group will become even more distinctive.

With a new concept of “making every day around the world sparkly and happy,” they are an idol group expected to continue thriving.

IZANAGI is an idol group created with the goal of helping outsiders forge connections with others through music.

Produced by Ichiho Shirahata, former playing producer of Gokigen Teikoku (Theatrical Version), the group was formed in 2022.

With the concept of an “overwhelmingly relatable outlaw idol,” they deliver addictive tracks infused with traditional Japanese elements.

While their lyrics deviate from conventional idol aesthetics and the mainstream and can seem intense at first glance, they’re also catchy and go down surprisingly smoothly.

Led by the powerful track “GEDO,” their impact is outstanding.
