Niigata University of Health and Welfare, located in Kita Ward, Niigata City, aims to cultivate professionals who can thrive across a wide range of fields including healthcare, welfare, and sports. During the Gutousai, the university festival held in early October, an open campus is also offered. The name “Gutousai” comes from the character “伍,” which conveys meanings such as comrades and joining together, symbolizing the communication that forms the core of the school. “桃” (peach) was chosen for its image of putting down deep roots and bearing abundant fruit.
