The Ken Festival is held in October at the University of Shizuoka in Suruga Ward, Shizuoka City. The name “Ken Festival” comes from the legend that Prince Yamato Takeru dedicated the Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi (Grass-Cutting Sword) at the nearby Kusanagi Shrine. Every year, the event is bustling with activities such as live music and food stalls.
