Let me introduce a song by flumpool, a four-piece rock band.
You may have had chances to hear their music, as some of their songs have been used as TV drama theme songs.
Speaking of flumpool, back in 2013, guitarist Kazuki Sakai paused his “visual” activities—anything where he could be seen—in order to focus on dieting.
Comedian Yusuke Inoue from the duo NON STYLE stepped in as a support member, which became quite a talking point.
Although Inoue is a comedian, he’s shown playing the guitar impressively in the music video for “Taisetsuna Mono wa Kimi Igai ni Miataranakute” (“I Can’t Find Anything Important Besides You”).
Inoue is known for his narcissistic character, but in this MV he looks undeniably cool.
Meanwhile, the band’s regular guitarist, Sakai, exceeded his weight-loss goals and successfully returned to the band.

Snow Ghostflumpool

The four-piece rock band flumpool, known for their expansive vocals and steady band sound, has released numerous hit songs.
Their digital single “Snow Ghost,” released in December 2025, began when vocalist Ryuta Yamamura posted on social media in the height of summer that he wanted to write a winter song again.
Set in the snow-dusted streets of Tokyo, it tells a poignant love story that retraces memories with a former lover once walked beside.
The song’s world, which overlays feelings for someone now out of reach with the phantom of snow drifting through a winter night, strikes a deep chord.
It’s a winter song perfect for when you want to linger in memories of love.
Wish Upon a Starflumpool

It was a major-label debut single released in 2009 and was used as the theme song for NTT Communications’ “MUSICO” commercial.
It was originally one of the songs produced during their indie period.
As the title suggests, it’s a bright, forward-looking track that conveys a sense of hope for the future.
From Me to Youflumpool

Released in 2010 as the fifth single, it was used as the theme song for the Toho-distributed film “Kimi ni Todoke.” The lyrics feature characters from the story and follow its plot.
The song alone is very moving, but if you watch the film as well, I think the appeal of this track will come across even more strongly.
reboot ~A Poem That Doesn’t Give Up~flumpool

Released in 2010 as the fourth single, it was selected as the support song for Nippon TV’s South Africa 2010 coverage.
The track was created with the concept of “a grand song from the intro,” and was written by Takafumi Yamamura during the tour.
It’s a very cool anthem.

Released in 2011 as their seventh single, it was used as the required piece for the junior high school division of the 78th (2011) NHK All-Japan School Music Competition.
It’s a very elaborate song that blends band sound with an orchestra.
Listening to it when you’re feeling down can really lift your spirits.
precious; noble; sacred; venerableflumpool

This was the last track they released after announcing their hiatus in 2017.
They said it’s a song filled with various feelings that came from seriously facing their music and their fans, and officially described it as “a piece created together with the audience.”
I can’t find anything important besides you.flumpool

This is their 11th single, released in 2013.
Mr.
Yamamura commented, “Even if I say I want to save people with music, I feel like I can’t really do anything, which is exactly why I wrote it simply and straightforwardly.” It also drew attention because NON STYLE’s Inoue took part.
