A collection of fun questions with the theme “What if 〇〇?”

I put together a collection of “What if” questions!

The basic structure is “What if ___ were the case?”

I think you can use them when chatting with friends, breaking the ice with someone you’ve just met, or at work get-togethers.

You’ll get to know the other person better—like, “So this is what they’re like,” or “We think the same way.”

…That sounds a bit formal, but anyway, why not just toss them out in a lighthearted way?

Hope you have a great time chatting!

A collection of funny “What if…?” questions! (11–20)

What would you like to do if you could become a cat?

Why are cats so irresistibly cute, right? They can be a bit aloof or dig their claws into you, and then suddenly they’ll rub up against you, hop onto your lap, and meow… Just imagining it makes many cat lovers’ hearts skip a beat.

So here’s the question: if you yourself turned into a cat, what would you do? Roam around as you please, nap whenever you like… it’s the kind of lifestyle that’s easy to envy, isn’t it? Cats are just an example, of course—dogs, birds, or any other creature are perfectly fine too!

If your body could only touch either dogs or cats, which would you choose?

If your body could only touch either dogs or cats, which would you choose?

A classic theme for provoking opposing opinions is asking people to choose between being a “dog person” or a “cat person.” Let’s take that theme a step further and ask: if you could only touch one of them, which would you choose? Some might pick the one they’ve never touched before due to allergies, while others might say they’re satisfied just watching and don’t need to touch either—so not everyone will simply choose the animal they like more.

By using the word “touch,” this question doesn’t just ask about favorite animals; it also reveals how people relate to each animal.

In conclusion

I’ve shared a lot—did anything seem useful to you? We can go through your questions one by one, or we can dive deep into a single topic.

Either way, imagining “It’d be nice if this happened” or “I wish it could be like that” is fun, isn’t it?
