Funny parody songs. Hilarious popular parody songs (71–80)
Ms. Hanako on a high pedestalback number

Takane no Hanako-san, a candid song about unrequited love.
It’s one of back number’s signature masterpieces, right? Even that song, in the hands of the popular YouTubers Homies—known for their hilarious “relatable in all kinds of situations” bits—gets transformed into a song about “classic moments in cooking class”! Cooking practicums held from elementary through middle school—some people feel nostalgic, while others are experiencing them in real time.
The one thing we can say for sure is that “then and now, cooking class hasn’t fundamentally changed.”
PerfumeEito

In 2020, singer-songwriter Eito took Japan’s pop music scene by storm after going viral on social media.
His song “Perfume,” built around the warm tone of an acoustic guitar and a relaxed tempo, is very easy to sing at karaoke.
Since it’s a slow ballad, making a parody version is simple, too.
The key to parodying this song is to land a solid punchline at the end of the chorus.
What matters is whether you can skillfully convey the backstory and the buildup to that punchline in the first half of the song!
FlamingoYonezu Kenshi

“Flamingo” is a medium-tempo track that combines a funky bassline with lyrics that carry a sense of humor.
The way the word “Flamingo” is used in the chorus—catchy and pop—really showcases Kenshi Yonezu’s knack for wordplay.
If you’re doing a parody version, you’ll want to land the laughs solidly in the chorus, too.
Don’t be shy or hesitant—just sing it out.
When young people go to karaoke together, this one is sure to get everyone hyped!
Goodbye ElegySuda Masaki

The original song is Masaki Suda’s third single, “Sayonara Elegy,” released in February 2018.
It was the theme song for the NTV drama series “Todome no Kiss,” starring Kento Yamazaki, and while the original track—like the drama’s content—is quite intense, here it’s been turned into a comedic parody with an exam theme.
Precisely because the original lyrics are so intense, the contrasting parody lyrics really stand out.
Still, I think many people who have gone through entrance exams will find plenty in this parody version that rings true and is easy to relate to.
The lyrics are very comedic, but I feel it gets a better reception if you sing it in a very serious tone!
Dragon Ball “Mysterious Adventure”

This work is a parody of the opening theme from a popular anime with a devoted fanbase, packed with comedic elements.
While preserving the original melody, it delights listeners with unexpected twists.
Released in November 1986 as a tie-in song for a TV anime, it has been loved for many years since.
It’s perfect for a quick break during work or study, or for livening up gatherings with friends.
The humor-filled lyrics are sure to soothe you and bring a smile to your face.
The one and only wig in the worldkenken

One popular theme for parody songs on YouTube is worries about hair volume.
SWORD MUSIC’s “The Only Wig in the World” cheerfully and hair-lariously laughs off those concerns with a fun video and lyrics.
The original song is, of course, SMAP’s classic “The Only Flower in the World.”
Girltama

Known for crafting a uniquely atmospheric stage world—starting with “Sayonara Jinrui”—Tama also performed a cover of the Beatles’ “Girl” live.
However, the content was a complete reinvention; both the arrangement and the lyrics were transformed into a wholly original “Tama world.”
