Stand by Methe peggies

the peggies are a three-piece band formed in 2011 in Kawasaki, Kanagawa.
The group consists of three members: vocalist/guitarist and songwriter Yuho Kitazawa, bassist Makiko Ishiwata, and drummer Miku Onuki.
Their appeal lies in literary lyrics and a hybrid sound that’s both hard-hitting yet cute and danceable.
At times they carry a slightly fragile mood, which might really resonate with fans of Chatmonchy.
They’ve also had many anime tie-ins since their major-label debut.
Definitely one to watch!
UTOPIAFINLANDS

The band originally centered around two members—Fuyuko Shioiri on guitar and vocals and Kayo Koshimizu on bass—but Koshimizu left in 2019, and since then Shioiri has continued the project as her solo band.
The biggest draw of her music is, without a doubt, her distinctive singing voice that grabs your ears the moment you hear it.
It’s a voice that may divide listeners, but for those it clicks with, it’s irresistibly captivating.
What’s more, every song features excellent, catchy melodies, and before you know it you’ll find yourself wanting to listen to the next track, and the next—this is a band that makes you keep going.
I LOVE UTHE★SCANTY

THE★SCANTY is a four-member band that debuted in 2001.
They were a very poppy and cute band.
As you can tell from the fact that the ultra-famous producer Masahide Sakuma handled their production, they were a band with high sales expectations.
DISTRESSHysteric Lolita

HYSTERIC LOLITA was born from a girls’ band project hosted by the popular fashion magazine KERA.
The five-member band, selected from among 520 applicants, championed neo-gothic rock and drew attention with a unique worldview that fused Harajuku-style fashion.
Kicking off with their debut live show at Harajuku Astro Hall in May 2014, they also performed in Taiwan that same year.
The following year, they were active in Paris, France and London, England, and made their mark both in Japan and abroad, including through a tie-in with Nippon TV’s “Buzz Rhythm.” After undergoing a lineup change in 2016, they disbanded in March 2017 to much regret.
Even now, their music—defined by a distinctive sound and innovative visuals—continues to captivate many fans and is perfect for those interested in the fusion of rock and fashion.
ZERO TIGERLIPSTICK

Formed in 2012, LIPSTICK is a powerful, straight-ahead all-girl metal band.
Guitarist Sally and bassist Sakae are the core of the group’s sound, establishing a new, self-proclaimed genre called “MASSIVE ROCK.” Armed with exceptional musicianship since their high school days, they have been highly active mainly around Tokyo, earning strong acclaim with albums like “KILLER TUNES” and “X-SENSE.” In October 2019, they performed at “METAL MATSURI” held at the O2 Academy Islington in London, marking a successful overseas show.
While grounded in ’80s hard rock, their sound incorporates a modern approach and has drawn attention from many quarters, including winning the Grand Prix in a Yamaha Music production contest.
They’re a must-listen for music fans drawn to the fusion of heavy guitar riffs and sleek, lustrous melodies.
Psychic of LoveSilent Siren

SILENT SIREN is a band whose members each have a background as reader models.
Their catchy, pop, and approachable songs are hugely appealing! Because of the members’ backgrounds and the image of their music, they have an idol-like popularity, but each of them has a solid backbone; many are big rock fans, both Japanese and Western.
They also had experience with their instruments before starting the band, and they deliver music that’s more authentic and serious than their looks might suggest!
nullparanoid void

Paranoid void, a three-piece band formed in Osaka in 2013, has been gaining attention for their instrumental sound that makes full use of odd meters and polyrhythms.
Their appeal lies in floating, atmospheric guitar tones and ever-shifting rhythmic phrases, with the performances of Mipow, Meguri, and Yu-ki combining exquisitely.
They debuted in 2016 with the mini-album “POP MUSIC,” and have released striking works such as the albums “Literary Math” and “travels in my universe.” In 2019, they performed on the “ROOKIE A GO-GO” stage at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL ’19, earning high praise for their ability.
Meticulously constructed compositions and exceptional musicianship make them a perfect fit for listeners who enjoy complex rhythm patterns and inventive sounds.
