Golden Bomber’s famous and popular songs

Let me introduce songs by Golden Bomber, a four-member band also known as Kinbaku, who are active in a brand-new style as a visual-kei air band.

At first glance they may seem goofy, but in fact they deliberately choose not to sign with a major label, insisting on working independently, and pursue their activities with strong conviction.

Their signature song is “Memeshikute,” which was the catalyst for their big break, but they have plenty of other catchy tracks that you’ll find yourself humming along to.

If you’ve never really listened to their music before, give this playlist a proper listen.

You might just end up becoming a fan.

This is a K-pop-style arrangement of “Memeshikute.” In the music video, all the members dress as women, and to emphasize Korea they even munch on Korean seaweed.

It’s amusing how it actually comes off pretty K-pop-like.

The way they eat is crude, but another highlight is that the members unexpectedly look quite cute in drag.

It’s a commercial jingle for Mega Shaki set to the melody of “Memeshikute.” If you listen closely, the lyrics don’t match the rhythm of the melody at all, and the content is basically just repeating, in different words, that the singer is sleepy.

Still, it’s a song you can enjoy listening to even aside from being a commercial.

It’s a song by Golden Bomber that grabbed attention with its outrageously bold title.

It was released in July 2019 and later included on the December album “They Won’t Let Us On Kouhaku Anymore.” While it’s crafted as dance music built around mellow synths, the lyrics keep tossing out everyday slang and lines that beg for a witty retort.

The gap between the smooth sound and the lyrics is spot-on, and the more you listen, the more the laughter slowly bubbles up.

For a party piece, try performing it with some dance moves!

Golden Bomber’s 20th-anniversary arena live “Shinsaku” (New Work), held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at PIA Arena MM, was a performance built around new staging that showcases the band’s current form and focuses on their more recent songs.

In contrast to the previous day’s “Kyusaku” (Old Work), it featured a completely different production and setlist.

The members appeared in stylish outfits and kicked off the show with “Shin: First Song.” It was a night packed with Golden Bomber’s signature humor and emotion, including achieving a 50-50 milestone, a VTuber theater segment, and the appearance of a big-eating hero.

It was a live show that let you fully feel the band’s unwavering spirit of entertainment over the past 20 years.

With its easy-to-understand lyrics, catchy melody, and energetic vibe, it’s perfect for karaoke.

It’s a song by the visual kei air band Golden Bomber.

It’s included on the album “Killer Tune Shika Nee yo,” released in 2018.

This is a commercial for Round1’s “Spo-cha” featuring Golden Bomber.

Their song “Boku no Sekai o Mamotte” is also used as the CM song.

Spo-cha is an amusement facility where you can enjoy games and sports within the venue on a time-based system.

The members, all dressed in tracksuits, are shown having a blast with activities like riding Segways, three-on-three basketball, and trampolines.

My QuestGōruden Bonbā

Golden Bomber, the visual-kei band affectionately known as Kinbaku.

Many of their songs and video works really stick in your memory, don’t they? “Boku Quest” is one of them—the music video itself is presented as footage of a fighting game being played! Kiryuin, dressed like an elementary school kid, plays the game, while a tiny on-screen Kiryu faces off against various enemies.

The video has a somewhat retro Showa-era vibe, and depending on your generation, it might bring back nostalgic memories of childhood.
