The Japanese-American rapper Miyachi emphatically declares, “I don’t understand English.” Setting aside the fact that he clearly can, the track captures a trendy vibe with a satisfying triplet-flow.

The rapid-fire lyrics right before the final hook are sure to blow you away.

Kaikai KitanEVE

This song, Kaikai Kitan by Eve, became a hit as the opening theme for the hugely popular anime Jujutsu Kaisen.

The title is read “kaikai kitan”—a bit tricky, right? The lyrics are dense and have some tongue-twister-like parts, so it might be a little difficult, but if you can sing it, it’s really cool and gets everyone hyped.

It’s also great how the lyrics follow the anime’s storyline.

It’s popular not only with adults but also with kids, making it a crowd-pleaser across a wide range of ages.

The legendary rock band clad in Mod suits, known as “Michel” — THEE MICHELLE GUN ELEPHANT.

Their track “Midnight Clutchon Baby” is famous for the anecdote that they performed it to recover from an on-air mishap when t.A.T.u., who were scheduled to appear live on the music show Music Station, refused to go on.

It’s a classic that gets your mind and body rocking anytime, every time! It’ll blast your energy through the roof, so it’s also perfect for belting out at karaoke to blow off some steam!

It’s a classic summer song, recently familiar thanks to idol cover versions.

Beyond its popularity, the groove that hints at funk and oldies might be the secret to its lasting appeal.

The lyrics also have a floating feeling—like the beginning of summer, or maybe its end—that really hits the mark.

electric shockYonezu Kenshi

Kenshi Yonezu’s songs are all very well-known and easy to get a crowd going at karaoke, so I imagine many people choose them.

This track, “Kanden,” was released digitally in 2020 and was written as the theme song for the popular drama MIU404 starring Gen Hoshino and Go Ayano.

Some of Yonezu’s songs can be a bit hard to sing, but this one is relatively easier, isn’t it? Plus, with its catchy groove and a chorus everyone’s heard, it’s the kind of song that really brings people together.

Goodbye ElegySuda Masaki

Singersongwriter Huwie Ishizaki provided a song to actor Masaki Suda, and Sayonara Elegy has become a longrunning hit.

It served as the theme song for the drama Kiss That Kills, and it was reportedly Suda’s first time performing a drama theme.

The song’s dramatic vibe is popular for being “emo.” It features an intense band sound, and the vocals are powerful to match.

If you pronounce each word clearly and carefully and project your voice, you can sing like Masaki Suda!

Dance, please.DISH//

DISH//’s masterpiece Odoryanse, released digitally in September 2025.

It’s a highly unique track, with a distinct, shallow-sounding auto-tune applied throughout.

Overall it follows a J-rock flow, but the pre-chorus shifts into a slightly reggae-like feel, and the chorus unfolds with a murky, almost visual kei-style melody.

Because the song packs so many developments into a single track, it’s a bit less singable, but you can expect it to be a real crowd-pleaser in terms of energy.
