Wish Upon a Starflumpool

This rock track, which seems to have broken through the confines of Japanese rock, is not only one of flumpool’s signature songs but is also so well-loved that it can be called an anthem of its generation.
It has been used frequently in commercials and TV dramas, earning absolute popularity among people of that era.
spinaspeena

Their band is named Spina.
Originally, it was the name of a koala plush toy that the vocalist Kanako received from her father when their family went to an amusement park when she was eight years old.
They sing about that episode set to a cute sound.

SAKURAikimonogakari

As a female-vocal band, this immensely popular trio has already carved out a unique place for themselves.
The vocalist, Kiyoe Yoshioka, has remarkable vocal power and a captivating charm that grips listeners.
Her joyful singing presence is also very appealing.
Though it’s a ballad, it has a great groove.
NINJA NAKAYOSHIBando janai mon! MAXX NAKAYOSHI

A track has arrived that dashes like a ninja and grabs listeners’ hearts.
Band ja Naimon! MAXX NAKAYOSHI’s re-re-major debut single, released in February 2024, is a colorful, energetic song themed around friendship and unity.
Crafted by Q-MHz, the piece features an adventurous melody and a powerful beat that’ll excite you just by listening.
This work gives you the courage to face difficulties, making it perfect for anyone ready to take on new challenges.

Yattahappatai

This is also from a comedy segment—a song from a popular corner where comedy stars, including the now-legendary Ucchan Nanchan, sing and dance completely naked with only leaves.
The visuals look like this and seem pretty questionable for children’s education, but the sound is surprisingly fresh, upbeat, and exhilarating.
99Superfly

A powerful rock number that vividly evokes the image of a solitary genius surgeon who never fails.
Released in November 2016 as Superfly’s 22nd single, many of you may remember it as the theme song for the hugely popular drama Doctor-X: Surgeon Michiko Daimon, Season 4.
It feels infused with an unshakable conviction, no matter what happens, and an indomitable spirit that constantly strives for the top.
If you listen to this song—about the resolve at that very moment when you’re just one step away from perfection—during a crucial time when you want to believe in yourself, it will surely give you courage!
Our Canon (VS. Chevon)Toukyou Sukapara Daisu Ookesutora

This is the theme song for the Sunday drama airing in the April 2025 season, “Dame Mane! – Managing a Hopeless Talent –.” As with most dramas, the timing when the theme song kicks in near the end is just perfect, and since this song has no intro, I was moved every time by vocalist Mayu Tanikinu’s gentle voice.
As you listen, the unison one octave below in the chorus really stands out.
This serves as an important foundation in the low end! The way the chorus comes in after the C section with call-and-response is also lovely, so I’d love to line up the timing and sing that part too.
Basically, the harmony is sung one octave below, so it might be too low for some women, but be careful not to strain your throat.
