Gifts to Give Teachers at Graduation: Presents That Convey Your Gratitude (21–30)
Acrylic stand of a student’s photo

Let’s make your own acrylic stand using plastic shrink sheets you can even buy at 100-yen shops! It’ll be a gift that will help your teacher remember you anytime.
First, prepare a life-size photo of the acrylic stand.
Then cut the shrink sheet so that, after shrinking, it ends up at that size, and heat it in a toaster.
You’ll also make the base out of the shrink sheet, but if you put it straight into the toaster, the hole for attaching the stand will close up.
So be sure to fill the hole with silicone or something similar before heating.
tote bag

Perfect for sewing beginners! This tote bag is made simply by sewing straight lines with a sewing machine.
Prepare two pieces each of outer fabric and lining fabric in the same size, plus two pieces for the handles.
Fold the handle pieces to your preferred width while pressing with an iron, then sew them.
Make two sets by sandwiching the handles between the outer and lining fabrics and sewing them together.
Open these two sets and place them right sides together.
Leave an opening for turning, sew all the way around, then sew diagonally across the corners to create boxed corners.
Trim off the excess corners outside the seam as they’re not needed.
Turn the bag right side out through the opening, sew the opening closed, and you’re done!

Soap flowers are artificial flowers made from soap.
They are mainly for display and are also popular as gifts.
How about giving soap flowers as a present for your teacher? There are many types available, such as boxed arrangements, bouquets, and pieces in dome-shaped containers.
Roses are the classic flower shape, but there are other varieties as well.
With the wide range of colors, you can choose something that matches the person’s image.
Original apron

A cute gift filled with the wish, “Please never forget us”! We’re full of gratitude for the teacher who shared those precious student days with us.
How about giving an apron printed with our self-portraits and names to the teacher who spent that time with us, as a way of saying we hope they’ll always remember us? Even if it’s kept as a memento, seeing the self-portraits will likely bring the students’ faces to mind and warm the teacher’s heart.
Be sure to give it a try.
hand cream

If you want to give a gift that helps with everyday care while letting them wear their favorite scent, consider giving hand cream! It’s a good idea to ask about their preferred fragrances in advance.
Many teachers—whether they do office work or supervise club activities—struggle with dry hands.
Hand cream is sure to be a welcome gift in such cases! For those who are sensitive to scents, choose a fragrance-free option with carefully selected ingredients.
Give it a try!
Book cover

If you’re giving a gift to a teacher who loves reading, how about a handmade book cover? This idea is easy to make even for beginners at sewing, since it’s just a matter of folding a single piece of fabric and sewing straight lines.
You can also make it with a built-in bookmark, so adding a charm with a graduation-themed design could be a nice touch.
Prepare fabric in your favorite color, a bookmark cord, and a charm, and give it a try.
It’s also a great idea to make multiple sizes so the covers can fit any book and give them as a set.
glasses case

Let’s try making one that incorporates your teacher’s favorite colors and patterns! This idea is perfect for anyone who wants to give a handmade gift that’s both practical and heartwarming.
For a teacher who wears glasses, it can be used as a glasses case; for one who doesn’t, it can serve as a pen case.
It’s also nice that you can tailor it to your teacher’s vibe through fabric choices, decorations, and custom touches.
Be sure to give it a try!
