Gabriel Fauré: Fantaisie, Op. 79Vincent Lucas

Vincent Lucas entered the Clermont-Ferrand National Conservatory of Music at the young age of eight.
He has won first prize by unanimous decision at the Berrand Competition and the UFAM Competition, and took first place at the International Radio Competition organized by Prague Radio.
He also graduated at the top of his class from the Paris Conservatoire (CNSM).
In 1989, he joined the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, where he performed for five years.
In 1994, he became principal flutist of the Orchestre de Paris.
Georg Friedrich Händel: Flute Sonata in C majorPeter-Lukas Graf

A Swiss-born flutist who also serves as a conductor.
He is also known for the success of his sister, soprano singer Kathrin Graf.
He studied flute with André Jaunet, Marcel Moyse, and Roger Cortet, and conducting with Eugène Bigot.

Walter Auer is a world-renowned flutist who serves as principal of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra—one of the world’s foremost ensembles—while also performing globally as a soloist.
In addition, he is deeply committed to nurturing the next generation, regularly giving masterclasses around the world.
He continually expands the flute repertoire by arranging works originally written for other instruments, as well as commissioning and premiering contemporary pieces, and he has given multiple concerts in Japan.

Giulio Caccini: Ave MariaHatozaki Misao

Misao Hatozaki is a flutist from Tokyo who bills herself as an “experiential flutist.” By “experiential,” she means creating a compelling flow and delivering performances that move the soul and are visually engaging.
In 2015, she was invited to the Kintai Music Festival in Lithuania, one of the Baltic States, where she held the “Misao Hatozaki Flute Concert,” achieving great success.
Carl Reinecke: Flute Concerto in D major, Op. 283Sébastian Jacot

Sebastian Jacot is a Swiss flutist born in 1987.
He won first prize at world-renowned competitions such as the Kobe International Flute Competition, the ARD International Music Competition in Munich, and the Carl Nielsen International Music Competition, and in 2014 he was appointed principal flutist of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra.
In 2022, he became principal flutist of the Berliner Philharmoniker, one of the world’s most prestigious orchestras.
He is also an active full member of the Mito Chamber Orchestra and frequently visits Japan for the orchestra’s tours there, so if you’re interested in hearing Jacot’s performances, be sure to attend a concert.

Andrea Oliva is a flutist born in Italy.
Showing his talent from an early age, Oliva honed his craft under renowned flutists such as James Galway and has won numerous prizes at major competitions.
After becoming the first Italian flutist to win the Kobe International Flute Competition in 2005, he came to be hailed as “the finest flutist of his generation.” Today, he performs energetically around the world as a principal player with several orchestras and as a celebrated flutist with fans across the globe.

Ayako Takagi is a flutist born in 1977.
Since her student days, she has won top prizes in prestigious competitions in Japan, and while still enrolled at Tokyo University of the Arts, she began a full-fledged performance career, including collaborations with orchestras in Japan and abroad.
She made her CD debut in 2000 and has since released multiple albums.
After completing her graduate studies at Tokyo University of the Arts, she has continued to perform as a soloist while also dedicating herself to training the next generation as an associate professor at Tokyo University of the Arts, a visiting professor at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, and a lecturer at several other universities.
