Yumi is a flutist from Shizuoka Prefecture.

She graduated from the Department of Instrumental Music at the Tokyo University of the Arts.

She is a promising young artist whose talent has been highly praised by the world-renowned maestro Sir James Galway for her “exceptionally rich musicality and technique.” She has also performed at the Hideyo Noguchi Memorial Bandai Highlands International Music Festival.

András Adorján is a flutist born in Budapest.

He initially studied dentistry and qualified as a dentist, but later studied flute under Aurèle Nicolet and Jean-Pierre Rampal, winning first prize at the Paris International Flute Competition in 1970.

He went on to serve as principal flutist with major European orchestras, including those in Cologne and Munich.

He was an Austrian flutist.

At the age of 10, he studied under Willi Bauer and Christiane Schwanberger at the Linz Conservatory.

He also studied with Rudolf Leitner at the Bruckner Conservatory.

He passed away in Vienna on March 28, 2013, at the age of 67.

A flutist from France, he began playing the flute at the age of ten under the influence of Jean-Pierre Rampal.

He first visited Japan in 1964.

Since then, he has returned to Japan many times for performances and as a judge at events such as the Kobe International Flute Competition, and is known as a Japanophile.

Masahiro Arita is one of the world’s leading flutists, renowned for his performance on the traverso (Baroque flute).

He graduated at the top of his class from Toho Gakuen School of Music and won first prize at the 40th NHK/Mainichi Music Competition (now the Japan Music Competition).

He studied abroad at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in Belgium and, starting in 1974, performed in Europe, Japan, and elsewhere as a member of Collegium Aureum.

He is currently a professor at Showa University of Music and a lecturer at Toho Gakuen School of Music.
