Mask of Emptiness

The “Hollow,” an evil spirit appearing in the popular Weekly Shonen Jump manga BLEACH, is also a great character for a Halloween mask, characterized by its fangs that jut out around the nose.
Since the series ended quite a while ago, it’s gotten hard to find this character’s mask on the market.
That’s why making one yourself with super glue and spray paint is recommended.
There are tutorial videos on sites like YouTube, so why not try making one by following those guides?
pumpkin eye mask

Dressing up as anime or manga characters is popular, but when it comes to Halloween, many people think of pumpkins.
So here’s a method I’d like to introduce for making a Jack-o’-lantern-style eye mask.
First, cut a paper plate into the shape of an eye mask, then glue construction paper onto it to recreate a pumpkin texture.
After that, attach an elastic band to loop over the ears, and it’s done.
You can also add a handle to finish it like a Venetian mask, which is highly recommended.
This way, parents and kids can share it, too.
boar mask

The anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has become a social phenomenon.
When it comes to masked characters in the series, Inosuke Hashibira comes to mind.
He always wears a boar mask, doesn’t he? If you recreate that, your child will be thrilled.
First, make the base of the mask out of cardboard.
The shape of the nose is distinctive, so it’s best to work while looking at the anime or manga for reference.
Next, once the base is done, attach felt to make it look more like a boar.
It’s a task that requires patience, but the sense of accomplishment when it’s finished will be huge.
Spider-Man mask

Have you ever used a shell mask? A shell mask is a mask used to protect your face during sports.
One of its features is that it’s easy to breathe even while wearing it.
It’s been gaining attention because by decorating a shell mask, you can easily recreate Spider-Man’s mask.
There are several ways to make one, and some methods are quite elaborate, even covering the back of the head.
Once you learn this method, you can apply it to create masks for other characters as well.
Give it a try!
Lion mask

The “lion mask” lets you recreate a realistic lion’s mouth.
You can get all the materials at a 100-yen shop, so give it a try.
Start by attaching paper clay to a dust mask to create the base.
If you carefully sculpt it while keeping a clear image of a lion in mind, you’ll get a realistic result—use photos as references while you work.
Recreate the lion’s fur using wool felt.
Make the gums, fangs, and tongue with resin clay and attach them to the initial paper clay base.
Finally, add wire to mimic whiskers and you’re done.
It takes a few steps and some effort, but the realism makes it perfect for a Halloween costume.
Black cat eye mask

The best thing about the black cat eye mask is that it’s easy to make with very simple steps.
Here’s how: first, draw a cat shape on a paper plate and cut it out.
Next, take colored construction paper with double-sided tape attached, cut it into small pieces, and stick them onto the cut-out paper plate.
The key is to prepare two or three colors of construction paper.
For example, mixing white, brown, and black will give you a calico-like finish.
You could also try a Halloween-themed black cat by using darker colors like purple, black, and navy—creating a look that isn’t based on real cats can be fun too.
Once you’ve cut the paper plate, there’s no more scissor work, so it’s a great craft for parents to make together with their children!

ghost
When it comes to Halloween, ghosts are indispensable.
You often see people dressing up as all kinds of ghosts from around the world, right? Even if it’s hard to go all-in with a full costume, a mask lets you become all sorts of ghosts with just your face! You could cut white paper into the classic shape of a ghost—like Boo from Super Mario or Whisper from Yo-kai Watch—or you could make a different kind of ghost by cutting construction paper, cardstock, or fabric.
Make a mask of your favorite ghost and give your friends and family a good scare!
