The tip of my index finger disappears.
It’s basically just making it look like your fingertips disappear by gradually bending them behind the part you’re hiding… but to really sell the effect, you need to cover only a very narrow area—about the width of one finger, like in this video—and making it look natural is surprisingly tricky.
It’s simple, but it’s a trick that’s worth practicing! If someone views it from the side, they’ll immediately see your fingers are bent, so the key is to always perform it head-on, directly in front of the viewer.
A finger pierces through an ear
You can only insert your index finger a little way into your ear, right? This trick makes it look as if that finger goes all the way in, passes through the ear, and is thrashing around inside the mouth.
Of course, your finger can’t actually go through your ear.
In reality, you sharply bend your finger back and wiggle your hand, while inside your mouth you move your tongue to match the hand’s motion.
Even when you know the method, the movement can still surprise you and make you laugh.
Presentation is key, so practice in front of a mirror!
Thumb-Stretching Magic
It’s a magic trick where you cleverly hide the thumb of one hand and then quickly pop out the thumb of the other hand, making it look like the first thumb has stretched.
It seems simple, but if the thumb you reveal later is visible from the start, or if it appears at an unnatural moment, it won’t look like the thumb is stretching at all.
Practice in front of a mirror to refine the visual appearance and timing, and make sure you can move your hands smoothly so it truly looks like it’s stretching.

Middle fingers pop out from above and below the clasped hands, moving in a curious way as if they’re linked to each other.
It’s like a magic trick—a mesmerizing hand motion that repeats from beginning to end and you just can’t look away.
Maybe it feels uncanny precisely because they’re fingers we’re so used to seeing?
The index finger disappears
It’s that classic trick almost everyone has tried at least once—the vanishing finger.
You hold one index finger out in front of your chest, then use the other index finger to press against it as if pushing it in vertically… and the finger you’re pushing seems to disappear.
You may already know the secret: the pushing finger is bent behind the other index finger so it can’t be seen from the front.
Even if you know the secret, making it truly invisible takes skill.
It’s a simple trick, but with the right presentation it really gets a great reaction!
Mental Arithmetic Magic
It’s a magic trick where you can guess the answer after having someone do a series of calculations on a number they freely think of.
First, have them think of a number.
Ask them to add 1 to that number, multiply by 2, add 4, and then divide by 2.
Finally, have them subtract the original number they thought of.
Then you confidently say, as if you’ve read their mind: “The answer is 3, right?” In other words, no matter what number they start with, following the steps above will always result in 3—and guessing it on the spot is sure to amaze them!

You might need a bit of finger flexibility, though.
