Speaking of crowns, they’re all about glittering, gleaming gold! If you use gold origami paper and jewel-like decorative stickers, you can make a gorgeous crown perfect for the star of any celebration.

You’ll need six sheets of origami.

Fold each one along the center line to create six parts shaped like a mix of triangles and rectangles.

Then, slot the six pieces together to complete the crown.

By pulling out the overlapping sections, you can adjust the size to fit the wearer’s head—an all-purpose, clever idea!

“I forgot to prepare a crown!” If it’s a simple crown made from origami, you can whip one up quickly even on the day of the birthday party! Fold small sheets of origami paper into a pointy hat shape, then decorate them with cut-out pieces like stars and diamonds to make it look more like a crown.

Make nine identical pieces, connect them side by side by overlapping the edges, and then join the ends together to form a crown shape—that’s it.

You can adjust the length by changing the number of pieces, so tailor it to fit the guest of honor’s head!

You can even make a plump, authentic pumpkin-shaped crown out of origami! All you need are origami paper, decorative stickers or beads, and glue.

Fold the origami so that a puffy hat-like shape has four long, thin parts radiating outward; then gather the protruding parts at the top of the hat to form a crown shape.

Finally, decorate it however you like and it’s done.

Since both sides will be visible from the outside, we recommend using double-sided origami paper with colors or patterns on both sides!

Crown of Hearts

Combine origami hearts to make a cute heart crown! Prepare two 15 cm square sheets of origami paper.

Cut each into four equal pieces, then fold each piece into a heart.

Connect the finished heart parts and form them into a loop to complete the heart crown! To link them, insert the pointed tip of one piece into the pocket formed on the side of the adjacent heart.

If you want it to be sturdier, we recommend securing it with glue.

It’s a perfect idea for anyone who loves cute motifs!

Layered triangular pieces and sparkly stickers make a big impact! Fold the origami paper in half, then fold the left and right edges toward the center.

Open each side to form a house shape, fold it back the other way, and continue making small, precise folds to shape it into a crown.

If opening the finer sections is difficult, try using tweezers.

Finally, open and adjust it into a crown shape to finish.

It’s super cute in a small size, so we recommend placing it on a styled hairdo and securing it with pins!
