Lace crown

Here’s an introduction to a cute crown you can make with lace.

Soak the lace you’ll use for the crown in glue diluted with water.

Spread the lace out on a clear plastic file folder, straighten the shape, and let it dry for a day.

Once you’ve confirmed it’s completely dry, attach a faux fur tape and add some beads.

Finish it off by securing everything with hot glue.

If you can’t find lace in the color you like, we recommend adding acrylic paint to the diluted glue to dye the lace.

Give it a try and make a princess-like crown!

Here’s a cute crown you can make with a paper cup.

Cut the paper cup into a crown shape and make slits at the bottom.

Create a base by attaching a frill made from a mesh drain bag to a piece of cardboard.

Make a scrunchie using the mesh drain bag and a rubber band, thread the crown through it, and attach it to the base.

Punch two holes in the base, thread an elastic cord through so it can be worn on the head, and your adorable crown is complete! Kids are sure to love it.

Try incorporating it into craft activities in early childhood education or daycare.

Paper Plate Crown

Here’s an idea for making a crown using a paper plate.

Cut eight evenly spaced slits into the plate, then fold the cut sections upward to form the crown points.

Attach felt balls to the tips of the crown points—using glue is recommended.

Once you’ve added the felt balls, it’s complete.

Adding sparkly stickers can make it even cuter.

If you plan to draw or color on the plate, it’s best to do that before cutting; it will make the process smoother.

Crown made from cardboard

We’ll start by drawing the shapes of a crown and a tiara, then cut them out.

After cutting, assemble each one by stapling it together.

Once assembled, decorate the crown and tiara by attaching shiny materials like glittery stickers.

When they’re finished, be sure to wear them and have fun! If using a stapler is difficult for some children, please help them with the pressure.

It’s also recommended to enjoy pretend play as a king or princess.

Please consider incorporating this into your childcare activities.

We’d like to introduce a cool crown you can make using COS Board Takumi.

Draw the shape of the crown on the COS Board Takumi and cut it out.

After cutting, warm it with a heat gun and form it into a crown shape.

Attach long, thin decorative parts to the crown, and add a flower decoration on the top.

Stick a disposable chopstick on for painting, apply color, and use a sponge brush on the back to create a rusty look for more realism.

Add highlights and stick on rhinestones to complete the crown! When working, it’s best to lay down newspaper or similar to protect your surface.

Give it a try!

A crown based on a capsule

Here’s how to make a miniature crown using a toy capsule! Cut fabric to fit the size of the capsule.

Use double-sided tape to wrap and stick the fabric around both the inside and outside of the toy capsule.

Copy the template for the crown pattern, place it on the fabric, and cut out the parts.

Attach the patterned pieces to the fabric-covered capsule with double-sided tape, and finish by adding a lovely decoration to the top of the crown.

If you like, decorating it with sparkly stickers that look like diamonds will make it even cuter.

Here’s a sparkling tiara that also makes a great gift.

We’ll make it using wire and beads.

Thread the beads and twist the wire to secure them, shaping it into a crown as you go.

It’s best to follow along step by step while watching each part of the process.

Since you’ll be using pliers, be careful to avoid injury.

Once you attach decorations to the top of the crown with glue, it’s finished.
