Target practice with an extendable sword

[Toy] Rolling paper made from posters! [Festival] – How to make –
Target practice with an extendable sword

Do you know rolling papers? They’re toy papers that are rolled up into a stick shape, and when you flick them forward, the curled paper shoots out and extends.

You can make one yourself using a poster.

Let’s use the popping force of a rolling paper to create a game where you knock down targets.

To make a rolling paper, just cut a poster into long, narrow strips, tape them together to make a long piece, and roll it tightly around a chopstick.

Rolling it a bit tightly will give you a cleaner finish.

Feel free to decorate the paper cups you’ll use as targets.

Try competing to see how many paper cups you can knock down by skillfully handling the rolling paper!

Thick paperboard diamond sword

Thick paperboard diamond sword

Let’s make a diamond sword—the weapon you can obtain in Minecraft—by combining colored paper and cardstock.

The key to conveying that it’s from Minecraft is the arrangement of continuous squares.

First, crease the colored paper into an even grid, then use those creases as guides to draw your design.

Once you’ve drawn the design on the colored paper, glue it onto the cardstock and cut it out.

Attach decorative parts made with a different color, and one side of the design is complete.

Next, make the same piece again and glue it to the back.

Then, to both emphasize that it’s a block and hide the exposed edges of the cardstock, apply colored paper to the sides as well.

If you finish it with a thickness about the same as the grid squares, it should give a solid three-dimensional effect.

Let’s play with a handmade basketball set! Here are some ideas for crafting an indoor basketball hoop.

After watching Olympic basketball, many kids probably started admiring the players, right? This time, let’s try making an indoor basketball game you can build and play with.

You’ll need two hangers, yarn, cardboard, scissors, and more.

It’s great because the steps are simple.

This is also a recommended idea for when you want to get moving indoors!

Target game made from a milk carton

Let’s make a target at home with things you already have! Here’s an idea for a target game using a milk carton.

Milk cartons are a great material because, with a bit of creativity, you can turn them into all kinds of homemade toys.

This time, we’ll make a shuriken (throwing star) target using a milk carton.

You’ll need a milk carton, scissors, and a motif made from drawings or construction paper.

Just cut the milk carton and set the pieces down, and they transform into a target! It’s also fun that you can attach your favorite illustrations or motifs.

Pitfall Game

Pitfall Game

Let’s make a simple pitfall game you can enjoy using an empty tissue box.

Mark both ends of the box, cut them, then tape them back together to restore the original box shape.

Draw circles on the surface of the box and cut holes with scissors.

These holes become pitfalls, and the key to the game is to carefully maneuver so the marble doesn’t fall in.

If you set a rule to cover the marble with a case and move it from start to goal, it becomes a simple yet deep game.

The fine hand movements help train finger dexterity, and you can also expect benefits for concentration and decision-making.

By adjusting the crafting method, you can tune the difficulty, making it a game with a wide range of enjoyable ideas.

Get the party going at events! Here’s a fun target game idea using bags stuffed with cotton.

Many people host parties for occasions like Christmas or Halloween, right? In those moments, try a group game that uses event-themed motifs to amp up the excitement.

All you need are gift bags, cotton, and ribbon.

If you don’t have patterned gift bags, drawing illustrations on clear bags with a marker works great, too! It’s a fun idea with lots of room for customization.

In the video, an air cannon is used, but it also looks like it could double as a target for throwing paper shuriken.

I shared it with photos on Instagram 🌸 My son was playing with a ring toss after attaching a string to it, so I named it the “pull ring toss” 😊#StayAtHomeSquadLife with children#tiktok classroomSummer Vacation Craft#HandmadeToys#AtHomePlay#StayHomeTime

With this loop with a string attached, you can easily enjoy a ring toss game.

First, roll up some newspaper to make a ring.

Wrap it with vinyl tape from the outside to reinforce it.

It’s also recommended to decorate it by adding masking tape or similar on top.

Then, attach a piece of yarn or another string to the ring, and it’s complete! Use building blocks or crumpled newspaper as targets, place them in various spots, aim at the targets and toss the ring, then pull it back to yourself with the string.

Draw a line to clearly show where to throw from.
