Autotune, an effect indispensable to modern hip-hop.
In Japan, it’s sometimes called the “kero-kero voice.”

This time, we’ve selected new-school tracks where you can fully savor that autotune sound.
We’ve gathered only well-known, authentic songs, so take your time and enjoy them to the very end.

Hip-hop classics that use Auto-Tune (1–10)
GenieNBA YoungBoy

The rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again, who earns respect from many heads with his thug style.
Known for his hardcore approach, he made waves in 2022 by engaging in a beef with hip-hop scene icon Lil Durk.
One of his autotune-driven classics is Genie, a particularly melodic track among his works.
If you want to experience his more delicate side, this is a must-check!
HIGHEST IN THE ROOMTravis Scott

Travis Scott, a rapper at the forefront of the modern hip-hop scene.
He’s hugely popular among heads, right? One of his hallmarks is his strikingly delicate lyrics.
Of course, his lyricism is a major draw, but his melodic rap style using Auto-Tune is also one of his appeals, and he has produced a string of hit songs featuring Auto-Tune.
Among them, “HIGHEST IN THE ROOM” became a global hit, with its delicate lyrics and melodic rap creating a superb contrast.
SwangRae Sremmurd

In today’s hip-hop scene, there are fewer rappers performing in groups or duos than there used to be.
Even in these times, there’s a group that has consistently stayed at the forefront: Rae Sremmurd.
Since they’re brothers, their chemistry is spot-on.
Their track “Swang” is a standout that showcases both their tight synergy and melodious, Auto-Tune–driven rap.
If you’re into laid-back hip-hop, this is a group you should definitely check out.
Calling My Phone (feat. 6LACK)Lil Tjay

Rapper Lil Tjay, who’s gained popularity for his melodic rap, spent his youth constantly getting into fights and engaging in delinquent behavior.
After leaving juvenile detention, he dove into hip-hop, and most of his lyrics are lyrical pieces inspired by that period.
A track that fully showcases his appeal while making excellent use of Auto-Tune is Calling My Phone (feat.
6LACK).
It’s an emotional song that, while stylistically different, evokes a similar sense of fragility to that of Namatonashi.
Life Is Good ft. DrakeFUTURE

Future is one of the rappers who represent the American hip-hop scene.
For heads who have been listening to US hip-hop since the 2010s, he’s well known as a hitmaker.
Among his works, the one where Auto-Tune especially shines is “Life Is Good ft.
Drake.” Featuring Drake, the track uses relatively light Auto-Tune throughout.
Even if you’re not a fan of heavy, in-your-face Auto-Tune, this is an easy one to enjoy.
