Johnny & Associates has many male idol groups, but they are the most dynamic among the younger acts.

Their distinctly teenage energy is on full display, so I’m sure they enjoy overwhelming support from women of the same age group.

If you sing their songs at karaoke, they’ll likely be popular with young people too.

King of Men!Kanjani∞

Following SMAP and Arashi, Kanjani∞ has become one of the most popular idol groups.

The members have become familiar faces on variety shows and are also popular performers in dramas and other fields.

Their songs are fun with lots of comedic elements, so they’re sure to lift your spirits.

The AKB group in Osaka is NMB48.

They showcase Osaka’s uniquely cheerful character to the fullest, making them cute and funny idols.

I think many people prefer them over AKB, and I’m one of those people.

I’m sure a lot of people will like them.

2014 Japanese hit songs (31–40)

Gera Gera Po SongKingu Kurīmusōda

I didn’t know this group or their song, but I thought it was a playful and comical, fun track.

The dance is distinctive, and I think even kids could enjoy it and dance along.

Having songs like this become popular is a good thing for Japan’s music scene as well.

Let It Go ~As I Am~Matsu Takako

This song was the most popular track on cable music.

I think many people were surprised by Takako Matsu’s vocal ability and power.

It earned support from children and adults alike and became a masterpiece that transcended gender boundaries, so I’m sure it will continue to be sung in the future.
